so people dont care that these congressmen got these loans before handing over billions to lenders, including citibank and countrywide. Esp the CHAIRMAN of the senate banking committee. He lied about it.But for 7 damn years I got to hear all about how we went to war so cheney could make a buck. unreal.

To be quite honest, I don't even care--just as long as they get Dodd the fuck out of there. I can't stand that lizard. Give his seat to another Democrat, I don't care--just get his ass out!Looks like I may just get my wish!July 24, 2009Dodd-Simmons gap widens in latest Quinnipiac poll

I agree with hooksaw, dodd needs to go.and agentlion, ill try to explain my point seeing how you dont seem to comprehend it. I am comparing people who dont think its a big deal to give a democrat a payoff because they have a big say in the billions a company will receive in return, to the people who THINK that we went to WAR so cheney could make some money from Halliburton. Its the same scenerio, although one is bullshit, im just pointing out the double standard.
7/29/2009 9:12:50 AM
they can prosecute dodd after cheney and yoo get their day in court/congressional hearings.
7/29/2009 9:33:15 AM
great response. Why not get the corrupt ahole that is currently IN GOVT out first, then decided what to do with years of court precedings. Just throwing that out there.
7/29/2009 9:46:31 AM
because i think torture in the name of america is a much bigger deal.[Edited on July 29, 2009 at 9:47 AM. Reason : and the dodd issue will take care of itself next november]

wow. The senate ethics committee cleared Conrad and others of ethics violations today. What a shocker. I guess being part of a VIP program doesn't qualify as getting "special treatment."
