I've only really been a state fan since I enrolled there

so 2004-present

My top few would have to be Hodge's layup vs Uconn, the game winning INT in the endzone to beat GT (Rumph ?), and Dunlap's catch vs BC

Everything thing else is just a hodgepodge of mediocrity

Rivers' first year was pretty awesome all the way around. From the first win against Ark St to the comeback against Indiana on the road to the charging of the field against Ga Tech to the game down to the wire at #3 Clemson and ultimately the huge comeback against Minn to win the bowl game...

We cant forget the much needed ass whooping that we laid on Notre Dame down there in the Gator Bowl....it was the icing on the cake of a kick ass season! The closest thing Ive had to a football championship since I was at State from '98-03!

We had such a shit load of fans down there in Jacksonville it was AWESOME!!

being at the tangerine bowl in 03 for philips last ever game
being uconn to make the sweet 16 in 05
beating unc at home in 07 and rushing the court for the first time

Probably when we beat Duke a few years back in the RBC when they were first place. I was like two or three rows back and center court for that game.

FSU 1998 hands down.
I still own a black nSc diamond hat that I found while rushing the field.

I used to have the pic of the goal posts being taken down and I could pick my face out of the crowd. I know it's around TWW somewhere, seems like I saw it a few days ago.

I like the 1997 Syracuse game mentioned earlier. Also, the Torry Holt show against FSU after their player talked shit the previous week.

90-At UNC......94 Vs. Duke when Duke was 8-3 reg season....and of course 98/01 FSU and the Gator Bowl. If we had beaten tOSU in 03, that would easily be the biggest and greatest comeback....Not much else since 03.

Dunlap catch vs. BC in 2006. There were definitely more significant events over the past few years, but I wasn't actually there for any of them. Being in a stadium for what was essentially a game winning hail mary won't be topped for a while.

Does anybody remember the 2006 State-WF game with the BS ref? At one point, he made a call, which the fans booed, so I'm pretty sure he made up a call against Wake, to keep his car from being keyed. We lost, but it was a funny moment.

Also, when State's #1 defense couldn't stand up to Devin Hester's opening kickoff return, another funny thing.

I didn't start watching sports until 2001 and I was a Maryland fan. My first State moment would not surface until Jules' "When We Hongry" quote.

^^^ Not that pic

Beating Duke in 2003 (?) when they were ranked #1 was pretty cool. Leaving the arena to snow and canceled classes was a nice bonus.

I also have to add NCSU vs ECU 1997 (football). Both teams were 5-5 on the year and it was their first trip to Raleigh in a long time. We won and finished 6-5. ECU fans got to see their team end the season at 5-6.

cant believe no one has mentioned the ~'91 game where Tom Guggliotta poured in ~33 points against UNC.

Glad to see someone grabbed the CC Harrison vs UNC game in '97

I would like to think someone would have at least mentioned the NC State - Duke game in the '97 tournament that started our run to the finals.

Obv the win against UNC in bball two years ago was monumental.

As hard as I try I cant think of a single big win in football except the time Weinke threw 6 INT's or when Holt ripped FSU.

I cant believe someone mentioned the game where Adrian McPherson got busted for illegally fixing the outcome. If thats seriously even in your top 20 you need to re-evaluate your sports life.

I have already posted plenty of other things that were 10 times better than that, but that was still a fun game because of the situation.

I miss the good old days in the early 2000's when we were good at football and bball. These youngans these days don't know how much that adds to the college experience.

Gator Bowl was biiiiiig in 02

Bennerman dunking on the landlord in 05 and we beat duke.

Us beating UConn to goto the sweet 16 in 05 and the announcers didn't know what to say cause they had been talking about UConn the whole game.

Us playing Ohio State and after killing ourselves the first half with dumb mistakes, us comming back and going into 3 overtimes.

I miss the fucking bad ass names that came through the bball program. I don't think any other program had cooler names than "Marcus Melvin, Cameron Bennerman, Julius Hodge, Scooter Sherill, and Illian Evtimov". Kevin Love, you may have gotten drafted, but your name sucks.

I liked the CSI: Miami episode where they mentioned the UNC upset over the Hurricanes. That happened while I was at State.
