i'm afraid of "unnatural" heights...as in, i don't like ladders or roofs and things like that, but i'll happily do trails and mountain climbing...those trails look awesome (can't say i wouldn't be a little scared, though)

My foot was steady shaking the whole time I watched this video! Like I knew the guy didn't fall after seeing your comments, but the whole time I kept thinking he was gonna die! Please take pictures for me if you go because I will be right here at home!

That third gap where you can't even lean over to support yourself on the rock-face while you cross the bean really did if for me. That guy was nuts.

if youre strapped into the side on that wire, i wouldnt care about the pieces of concrete missing. i've done similar stuff at lower heights obviously.but i would never ever go rock climbing.

In 2006 I went on a hiking trip in Montana with Outward Bound where we walked through a lot of cliffs. We were on no trails, and we sure didn't have a nice little staircase like in that video. At one point in the trip, we had to go down this cliff, and we had to use ropes and shit to swing out backpacks down and then sidle along cliff faces until we got to a good spot. I was on this cliff overlooking maybe 60 feet when this girl's backpack started rolling down the cliff. It almost fucking hit me. I had absolutely no room to move because of the limited footing and I was hindered by my backpack. There was no room to jump or move fast enough to dodge it. The backpack came straight towards me but it hit a rock right above me that made it fly off to the left. Had that shit hit me, I would have fell 60 feet and probably got my shit fucked up.

Looks like fun to me. But I've soloed stuff rock and ice climbing before. This is an example of via ferrata(sp?). In europe this is bigger than in the US since in the US we don't like to damage our rock as much. The Half Dome cable route is probably the best known example of a via ferrata route in the US.

I'm not afraid of heights, I'm afraid of hitting the ground I'm fine on a plane but I don't particularly like being up on a roof or something
