damn, beer is $6 a bottle there.
7/22/2008 12:27:10 PM
its a concert venue, shits gonna be outrageous regardless of who is playing
7/22/2008 1:51:03 PM
have I mentioned I hate Ticketmaster.... That's really the worst part about the recent signing of The Avett Bros to a major label... bye bye $15 concert tickets.
7/22/2008 2:04:12 PM
^i think it's more of the venue's fault this go-round than the band's. But i feel your pain.
7/22/2008 2:23:17 PM
agreed... I'm just afraid these types of venues are going to become the standard going forward...
7/22/2008 2:28:47 PM
!
7/26/2008 10:23:17 AM
regency amphitheatre recording says they go on approx 7:30 PM....everything else says 7?
7/26/2008 12:11:49 PM
yea whats the deal gice! when are people heading over there? I've only been to one show there before, and it was more like an all-day festival.
7/26/2008 2:48:29 PM
I think we're going to go over in about an hour to hang out a drink a few beers. I doubt it will actually be them going on at 7-730.
7/26/2008 3:00:58 PM
^ it is them, there is no opening act.
7/26/2008 3:02:43 PM

7/27/2008 1:59:11 AM
fantastic showi about shat myself when they ended with november blue
7/27/2008 3:41:13 AM
fantastic show. so many people were wasted in the "pit" before the show even started though. like, barely standing drunk. some random guy came up and gave my male friend a friend a hug. i was def weary of the weavers on the way home.
7/27/2008 11:02:45 AM
weary or wary?
7/27/2008 11:06:14 AM
both wary and weary of the weaving wheel-turners wafting fumes and weaning wiskey while driving their wild whorish women westbound.

7/27/2008 3:45:22 PM
great show, was pretty awesome at the end.....first few songs were pissing me off with the technical difficulties. i hope i get to see the avetts again in a smaller venue. those shows were light years better
7/27/2008 4:07:58 PM
may not have that opportunity much in the future, especially with the new label and everything. They'll be trying to play larger venues for sure.
7/27/2008 4:29:48 PM
pics anyone?
7/27/2008 8:21:23 PM

I want a poster print of that ship or a digital copy. That thing was awesome; I'd pay for a scaled down copy.
7/28/2008 4:20:11 AM
i think i read somewhere that those will be for sale at some point. I'm wondering if that could potentially be the new album's art. 10/31/08 Greensboro, NC. You will see me there.
7/28/2008 9:38:37 AM
^ ^^ they had them for sale at the show with the show's date and koka booth amphitheatre on them.
7/28/2008 10:05:25 AM
They were on sale at the show for $25. I bought one.
7/28/2008 12:05:44 PM
I've been listening to the second gleam these past few nights and am thoroughly enjoying it. Murdered in the City is quickly becoming one of my favorite new songs from these guys. I was lucky enough to have the album before the show, so singing along to it was great. I got my presale tickets for Greensboro 3rd Row
7/29/2008 10:50:45 AM
I think I'm gonna pass on the Greensboro show. I saw them at the War Memorial last year and the sound left A LOT to be desired.I'm thinking I might head down to Athens, GA later this year when they play the Georgia Theatre 2 nights in a row, though.
7/29/2008 11:12:50 AM
Awesome show!!!! I managed to snap a few pics that weren't too shabby from where I was standing - all of which I put in my gallery.
7/29/2008 12:38:53 PM
^^FanatiK, what felt off about it? You think it was the venue or what? Also where were you sitting?just curious
7/29/2008 12:41:28 PM
anyone know where I can get a torrent of this show?my friends were saying that one would be up the day after the show, but I can't find one. little help?
7/30/2008 9:39:05 AM
^I think there's one on bt.etree.org (not sure about that)^^I just don't think the venue is suited for this type of music. Same thing happened at their New Year's Eve show this past year at the Blumenthal in Charlotte. The crowd wasn't particularly loud, but I had a REALLY hard time hearing the band. I was probably about 15 rows back, left of the stage. At that point I had seen TAB about a dozen times, and this was the first time I can remember feeling disappointed after one of their shows. Maybe they'll come into it with a better idea of how to make it sound good this time, though.
7/30/2008 10:19:35 AM
Grayson, who is the editor of the Independant's music section and wrote a feature article about the Avetts in the last issue, taped the show form the soundboard and said he would be posting an online follow-up to the article with trax. Should be up later today, methinks.http://www.indyweek.com/gyrobase/Section?oid=3505
7/30/2008 1:10:18 PM
I wasn't able to find the show on either.Has anyone else had better luck?
