Nope, never got it. It is now on its way back to CompUSA. So now I have all these other pc parts, and no processor to go with.grrreat

hah... so i just called again and got yet ANOTHER story:First guy I spoke with admitted it was a price mistake and offered me some overpriced quad-core alternatives. I asked to speak to a manager. According to him, Intel mis-labeled these as E8400s. They are actually E6600s. This is why they were offered at the lower price. So somehow CompUSA knew that the chips in these boxes weren't actually E8400s (ya right) and PRICED them at E6600 prices but still (for some reason) put them on the site as E8400s. How likely does THAT sound?Best they could offer me is to sell me the E8400 "at cost" for $187.unbelievable.

that's a lie after a lie. i got the word straight from the VP that it was a price mistake. they need to stop lying. it's quite obvious when hundreds of people over at slickdeals got their packages with E8400's in them. my "OUT FOR DELIVERY" message went away. it looks like it never made it on the truck ah well, i got 1 at least.[Edited on May 15, 2008 at 2:35 PM.
