NO PREFERENCE '08!
5/6/2008 6:10:20 PM
I seriously voted for Huckabee today.
5/6/2008 6:10:51 PM
And I seriously voted for No Preference today. If they had a "None of these fucksticks" bubble, it would've been black.
5/6/2008 6:12:57 PM
^ Hahaha. Always the optimist.
5/6/2008 6:15:27 PM
Gotta go vote--I'm sure you want my voice to be heard, right? BTW, while I'm gone, why don't you ponder just how undemocratic superdelegates are--I mean, if the popular vote is really what matters, why are superdelegates even needed?
5/6/2008 6:21:24 PM
Ditto the Electoral College.
5/6/2008 6:23:03 PM
yeah i made a thread back during the most recent congressional elections about showing ID...iirc most people were not asked to show ID...I still dont understand why they wouldnt implement requiring showing an ID...i think the only reasons I got were if somebody moved and didnt have the right address on their license or something, they'd have to get a new license...some reason i didnt think was that strong

either Obama or Hillary is going to have to take the position as running mate at the end of this.I really think this is going to happen. Or else the party will seriously be screwed.
5/6/2008 9:11:30 PM
Uh...it's the Democrats. Screwing the party is in their charter...
5/6/2008 9:18:54 PM

5/6/2008 9:22:51 PM

I don't get it, what is the problem here?Your party registration has little to nothing to do with your actual party preference. You can be a registered democrat and vote republican every single year. In fact, I don't see why more people don't register for the opposite party and help to screw up the opponen't's primaries. It's a much more effective tactic than voting up your own guy...
5/6/2008 10:42:10 PM
You seriously think there wasn't a grassroots effort within the Democratic Party in 2000 to disrupt the Republican nomination process? Rush has somewhere between 20-25 million listeners nationwide, many of them in states that do not have open primaries. I'm sure it flatters him to think he has so much power...reminds me, in a way, of how some leftists paint Bush as an evil genius one minute and then a complete idiot the next...Like I said, you can't get mad at people when they're simply playing by the rules. Besides, what truly matters here? I thought getting out the vote and "making your voice heard" is the most important thing. I didn't know people had to validate their reasons for voting too...[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 10:48 PM. Reason : ]

^ You're suppose to vote for someone that represents you, not try to game the system. It's because of people like you that our legal system is so large and pervasive. You have no personal sense of ethics, and you don't care about the rule of law, or order, so we have to construct elaborate processes to weed out the dirtbags that don't want to play fairly. It's one thing to recognize that the system is not fair, and never has been, but it's another then to embrace this aspect to make things worse.
5/6/2008 10:51:05 PM
LOL ethics? Get off your high horse. Don't get all uppity and angry because people are voting for the candidate that you do not support. And believe it or not, people in those states have every right to vote in whichever primary they choose, and they don't owe you a fucking explanation as to why.
5/6/2008 10:57:51 PM
^^wow, that's a pretty sound argument right therepeople who abuse the system are dirtbags

The problem is that I understand the system, and you can't get upset when people are simply playing by the rules. You're pissy that I'm not jumping on the bandwagon getting all uppity about it. The states have every right to decide who votes in their primaries, and if they don't like it they can change it. It's called the democratic process. And until that time people can vote for any reason they so choose without feeling the need to explain or validate their reasoning or method for voting, because people are free to choose without fear of recourse or discrimination. It's a novel concept I know, but I think it'll catch on. I'm sorry that not everybody who voted in the democratic primary is a racist Wright worshipping Obama voting fanatic like you are, but hey, that's life.
5/6/2008 11:12:00 PM
Yeah, Republicans did this to my polygamist boy Mitt Romney earlier this year. All McCain supporters voted for Huckabee and Mitt lost the primary. It's cut throat, but what can you do.

5/6/2008 11:21:53 PM
LOL at moron...you can't be angry at Senator Helms if you believe he's basically as racist as you have shown yourself to be, but then again, it's been said that sometimes the things people hate the most about others they actually hate about themselves, so there ya go.
5/6/2008 11:27:49 PM
5/6/2008 11:34:38 PM
Wow. Just wow. We should get out the nastoute thought police to protect the voters from themselves!!! The beauty of our system is that your right to vote is yours and yours alone. And to think that you're somehow advocating that the concept behind our democratic and basic right to vote is somehow propaganda is beyond me. Let me be the 1st to welcome nastoute to the United States. Take a civics class, you might learn something.[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 11:40 PM. Reason : ]

Knowing that politics is immoral and unfair is completely different from wanting it to change. Men know that as they get older, their hair will probably fall out or turn gray... but doesn't mean they don't spend millions on Rogaine and hair dye. People wanting things to change has nothing to do with accepting how things are or have been.Come on.
5/7/2008 12:37:29 AM
people want change every time theres an election, but its always the same shitjust cause some candidate talks about change, it doesnt mean shitwe've been down this road time and time again
5/7/2008 12:54:53 AM
^ so let's just give up right? Do we not even strive for greatness anymore?
