my current transactions don't show up.... anyone else use a bank of america credit card?
5/12/2008 10:29:16 AM
^ I do and my BoA accounts work fine.
5/12/2008 10:38:53 AM
anyone else done txt message alerts and that doesn't have AT&T? the two of us with AT&T never got our txts for setting it up...wondering if its mint.com + AT&T or just a mint.com thing.
5/12/2008 10:49:24 AM
i have at&t, just had the test message sent and got the message ~3 minutes after submitting.
5/12/2008 11:08:33 AM
Ok, I finally set this up. Tell me some cool stuff I can do.
5/12/2008 11:51:11 AM
but do your recent credit card transactions come up?
5/12/2008 12:00:46 PM
It only goes back 33 days even though I can manually go back further if I log in to chase. Also, I have a chase business account which allows you to have multiple users.I have an account summary for the business account and then an account summary for the cards only user (me) and it looks like mint is counting each transaction twice.
5/12/2008 12:02:49 PM
Ok, I was able to hide the duplicate account, but still not sure how to go back past 33 days. Damon Damon is offlineAdministrator Join Date: Apr 2007Posts: 2,661Post Hi,Generally speaking, which is not a rule, we can generally get about 30 days back from when you created your Mint.com account (varies wildly by bank).[Edited on May 12, 2008 at 12:32 PM. Can mint predict future results based on previous months data?
5/12/2008 12:25:59 PM
^ After a fashion. It's sets up budgets that you can then tailor based on your previous spending patterns.
5/12/2008 12:31:08 PM
"After a fashion." ?
5/12/2008 12:32:56 PM
after (or in) a fashion 1. In some way or other, especially to a limited extent
5/12/2008 1:22:45 PM
So it can predict how much money I'll have each month after expenses?
5/12/2008 1:31:23 PM
I signed up with yodlee.com instead of mint.com ...Is there even a difference. I just trust paul, so I took his advice. I will say I am pretty impressed. The only issue I had was with my first citizens business checking account, which I am going to verify that I picked the right security questions to see if I can get that to work.I agree that it is a little annoying that it doesnt go back more than a month to get transaction data... Oh well. Also, lowes foods showed up as "home improvement" ... thats a bug
5/12/2008 8:40:01 PM
This sucks. The site is much, much easier to use than Quicken or shit like that, but I just can't trust them to have all of my information.

Excellent. Now all that's missing is a blackberry app
4/14/2010 12:52:23 PM
^no an iPad app!
4/14/2010 12:54:49 PM
At first I thought "cool" since I definitely use that site and it is very handy. But then I thought, how many times and how much do I actually spend cash each month? I went back and looked and I've only spent $40 in cash since February and that was because my friends and I were collecting money for something and needed cash.
4/14/2010 1:13:12 PM
If Mint could do some simple invoicing (with paypal and/or Google Checkout) and mileage tracking, I could just about get rid of Quickbooks for good. Mint rocks.
4/14/2010 2:47:24 PM
^^ Yeah, I had pretty much the same train of thought.I wish their trends section could do forecasting for the future.
4/14/2010 3:05:09 PM
^^I could see them doing that as a premium service now that Quicken owns them. That'd be pretty cool. Everything else is in the cloud now, why not that stuff too
4/14/2010 8:29:35 PM
cash transactions has been around for at least a week or two - old news by tww standards i hate that i can't see how much $ i've spent on a credit card within a given date range easily
4/14/2010 8:35:15 PM
Site down for anyone else?[Edited on April 15, 2010 at 5:18 PM. Reason : its server side issues but just in case.]
4/15/2010 5:17:52 PM
Up for me.
4/15/2010 9:11:33 PM
just signed up and immediately I'm like whoa at all the money I've spent on gas so far this month.
4/16/2010 5:47:26 AM
I like Mint.com a lot and started using it a few months ago, but my main bank (a small credit union) will not link to Mint.com due to "security issues". It makes me want to say fuck you to the credit union and take my money elsewhere just so I can fully use the Mint.com site.
4/16/2010 8:18:21 AM
^ I ditched my old online broker (TradeKing), because they kept promising integration with Mint but never delivered.
4/16/2010 9:27:50 AM
I just signed onto it. I have never needed a financial tracker, but since my wife and I are combined accounts now, it is going to be useful. However, I am nervous about access for a central site to all my accounts. My wife is super freaky about this, so I suspect as soon as she finds out, it will be deleted... For now, however, it has done one helluva job categorizing everything. Also, my investment account is fairly complex, and hunting down fees in large statements is not easy. I loved quickly seeing the brokerage fees.[Edited on April 16, 2010 at 12:11 PM. Reason : .]

I used to use mint until my credit union started using FinanceWorks about 6 months ago.

4/16/2010 12:50:37 PM
why would she care? the back end is ran by the same company that runs every online banking website in the US..they already have your info for every account you have. you can't even DO anything with your money from mint since it's only purpose is to show you your money and how it was spent, not do anything with it.[Edited on April 16, 2010 at 1:08 PM. Reason : although i agree with your point..lol]

You guys assume all decisions are based on logic. There is a lot more than logic in decisions that women make, and more often than not, they are emotional.

I use BB&T and I can not add anything that relates to this bank. Anyone having trouble with this that uses BB&T?
5/17/2010 1:29:36 PM
I had no problems adding BB&T when I signed up a few weeks ago. You may have to search for Branch banking and Trust or http://www.bbt.com.
