Here are his stats per ESPN.com: Adam Kiker2001: 13/14 FGs 24/27 PATs. Long of 41. Leading scorer on the team with 63 points2002: 5/7 FGs 10/12 PATs. Long of 44. 35 points.2003: 12/16 FGs 48/51 PATs. Long of 43. Leading scorer again with 84 points. So total he was 30/37 on FGs and 82/90 on PATs. I will concede those PATs should automatic but 30/37 from FG? That is better than our beloved John Deraney did in his time here. How many of those FGs won us games? Yet he only gets the blame when we lose, no credit for the wins. Typical State.

i guarantee you that his average on those 30 made FG was probably no higher than 30 yards

People bashing Kiker are dumb. Yeah he wasn't that great of a kicker and most of his FGs were 30 yards or less, but he basically was our ONLY option when he played here because everyone else was either hurt or sucked worse than he did. It's not like he was some highly recruited kid who sucked balls (see Derrick Morris). Kiker was basically taking one for the team being our kicker.Plus the dude was an aerospace engineer and managed to play football and keep an amazingly high GPA. None of us on this board could claim that.

Too bad all of his airplanes start out great, but take quick turns to the left at unexpected times.

30/37 is actually a lot better than I would have guessed. I guess it's just that 5 or 6 of those misses were heartbreakers.
