Linking to "thinkprogress", "DailyKos", "moveon.org" or the other ultra-left sites doesn't give your post any credibility. They knowingly obscure issues and do everything they can to smear the GOP.Pay discrimination based on gender is illegal and has been for decades. The vote is a non-issue.The change focuses on the length of time to file a discimination complaint. Saying McCain opposes fair pay is a lie. At most you can say he opposes expanding the time frame to file suit when a woman believes she has been unfairly discriminated against.
4/24/2008 5:03:16 PM
you have to file a suit within 180 days of the discrimination. how you're supposed to know necessarily if there's discrimination in that arbitrary time period is beyond me.the more ridiculous part of mccain statement is saying that the problem is that women aren't trained. when the thing at issue is when equally qualified women are getting paid less for the same position as men. the woman in question was given many commendations during here tenure and then found out she was being paid significantly less than her male counterparts. this affects not only her income at the time, but her pension for the rest of her life. tell me how that's fair, especially since she didn't learn of this discrimination until later.[Edited on April 24, 2008 at 5:16 PM. Agreed, just have to be wary of the people that push the Wright shit to the end of the earth but ignore other people's connections with convicted criminals who apparently seem to be advocating the murder of US officers.
5/5/2008 10:07:54 AM
^And vice versa. Just because media coverage of Wright is excessive doesn't mean spookyjon's gotta be a douche and post about every idiot that McCain has ever been associated with.
5/5/2008 6:09:36 PM
As long as the incessant media coverage of Wright stays alive, I might as well post this shit. I'm far more concerned about the media's one-sidedness on the matter than I am about any of these associations.
5/5/2008 6:21:21 PM
if anything the media is now mocking their stupid coverage of it

Since Rat loves his Gallup poll so much, Obama is back on top:Obama has him edged out by 1% (probably within the margin of error)McCain has been slipping up some too (relative to Obama), a trend that will likely continue as he is forced to move more in to the spotlight.[Edited on May 9, 2008 at 11:53 PM. it's ok marko.when the true "wright" effects kick in, and people see how little obama's really done to serve the United States b4, and also when the fallout from hillary clears the horizon...this will be yet another dukakis for you hippy lovers. obama bowled a 37.. probably a prelude to the % of votes he's going to get come november. lol

So, in addition for two of his top campaign aides taking money from the Burmese Junta, we've got Tom Loeffler "managing McCain's interests across a variety of intersecting universes -- donors, lobbyists Capitol Hill and the executive branch."Tom Loeffler, in case you didn't know, took in about $5 million dollars last year lobbying for Saudi Arabia. That's a good gig to have on your resume.http://blog.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2007/03/mccain_elevates_loeffler.html

^ Well, judging how long the US should stay in Iraq given the realities on the ground is much more difficult than simply looking at polls to determine one's position on Iraq. Obama seems to have done well politically following the second path, but don't expect great things from the man that let's Gallup do his thinking for him.
5/15/2008 10:28:34 AM
If only McCain was as a good of a speaker as Obama
5/15/2008 10:33:08 AM
So, in defending President Bush for comparing Obama to Nazi appeasers, McCain pulled out this wonderful chestnut:
