Short can look incredible on the right girl but long is probably more universally applicable. For me it also depends on color though...Prefer long on redheads, short on blondes and lighter browns, dark brown/black can go either way.

(not like buzz cut short though...does not look good on girls in general.)

I do think that short hair (or buzzed) helps define how feminine I really look. I honestly would prob have longer hair if it actually looked good but bc I was blessed with an AWESOMELY beautiful!!!! face and not very pretty hair, I tend to look better with short hair.

^^^^ personally, 90% of my closer friends who are girls and are active, healthy, and in shape have shoulder length or shorter hair since they say its annoying when they are running or working out

and you can certainly have shiny lustrous hair that is cut short

the other thing to consider is that, *TO ME*, longer hair only looks good if it is styled and well taken care of. IE the two model photos you posted. HOWEVER, those 2 girls, their hair doesnt look like that when they are around the house or going to the grocery store. it takes a lot of work to make it look like that. My girl-friends down here, when we are out somewhere dressed up and they actually fix their hair up, it looks really nice. but normally they dont put that much time into it on a daily basis and its bland. IE long straight hair is the most boring, and thats what the girls wear it like most of the time who have long hair, unless they are going out.

short hair on the other hand, looks just as nice when fixed or styled, and IMO looks a lot better messy/unstyled than longer hair in the same state.

I'll just spill it: The long-hair-versus-short-hair issue is personal for me. It's become a small, pretty much inconsequential matter between me and my fiancée.

In any event, she always looks beautiful no matter what length her hair is--and I'm not just saying that. But I do have a preference concerning the length of a woman's hair--and long is it.

But, ladies, if you really love your short hair, then have at it. I surrender, I guess.

For the most part, I think longer is better. If a girl has a cute face she can pull off short hair, but otherwise I think it's the hair that gives a woman part of her feminine aura. Here's a good example. Morena Baccarin. She's stunningly beautiful in just about every way. Her face is amazing. With long hair I think she's easily one of the most beautiful women on the planet.




She even pulls off medium length hair with no problems.




I'd even go so far as to say her face is pretty enough to pull off this look, which most women wouldn't be able to do.



But this final picture proves that there's short, and then there's too short. And no amount of beauty is gonna be able to help you out of something like this.
