thats the problem with mine. usually i can get away with not cutting it, but i keep it halfway styled now.

well not really styled. maintained. so like youre kinda saying, once you go short with it you have to keep up with it.

still something i'm getting used to

i would just like to have one really stellar hairstyle in my life...

and i know i'll have to pay for it...

but i'm sorta on this whole "improving my life...starting with my appearance" thing....

i have most of the rest of my shit figured out...but i've never really given a shit what i looked like...so i'm giving it a shot...

nicer clothes....hairstyle...jewelry...makeup...etc...

don't get me wrong...I'm a baller on a budget...but i'm doing what i can

the problem with curly hair is that getting a good cut is only 1/3 of it. Doesn't matter how good the cut or the stylest is, without some good styling products and styling regime its only gona do so much.

instead of picking a hairstyle i would mabey suggest schedualing a consultation and talk to her about the amount of time you put into a style, what your expecations are, and how you style it. Do you want to step out of the shower, shake n' go or are you expecting to apply products and blowdry? You might end up being more satified with your hairstyle if you work with her to choose a cut baised on your needs rather then chosing a look and trying to fit your rountine into the demands of that style

^^oh i know....and i'm willing to do whatever i have to in order to have a style i really love...

i already have to put a shit load of product in it and blow dry is to keep it from being too frizzy....

i miss the days before i got old and my hormones took over when i could just wash and go

oh and on the note of hairdrying.....i have to say, a really good hair dryer can make all the difference (like a $150 - $200 hair dryer)

i know i know....i was very skeptical at first, but the woman who sole me my chi did the whole "try it for a week and if you dont like it, you can bring it back". i tried it for a week, and i love it. my hair dries in a fraction of the time and looks a million times better.

i use a CHI, my mom uses a Metropolis. I think I actually prefer the metropolis and I would have gotten it except for that they dont sell that brand at the Ulta in Atlanta (but they do at the Ulta in Cary/Raleigh). Go to the Ulta that is also a hair salon and talk to one of the women who actually cuts hair (not a check out counter lackey)

if you stop blow drying your hair and don't brush it, it'll frizz a lot less.

i get out of the shower, put gel in my hair and let it air dry. then i brush it just before i wash it again.

as far as styles go, i don't have much advise. i'm a simple girl.

that's not the case with my hair at all...

it's either frizzier than it would be if it's humid outside....or just greasy looking curls

so she made it super straight just to make sure it was all even and so she could then it...

but before she straightened it or styled it I told her I would walk out right then and tell everybody I saw it was the best haircut I've ever had...

it won't be this straight or flat when I fix it....so I'll post more pictures tomorrow

yeah...she told me you were coming in....

and i'll more than likely be hungover with you at 4...but i'll be at home by that time suffering through it at the parent's house....

yeah...i have nothing to blame it on anymore....

however...i'm going to blame my wild ass 30 party on NOT being in my 20s anymore....haha
