I have always wanted to go to a black barber shop, but was concerned about how they would go about cutting my hair....

[HONEST QUESTION]

do they ever use scissors? i would guess that it's like 100% clippers.

it depends on your hair honestly

with my hair, it can be done with electric clippers

right, what i'm saying is... can't all black people's hair be done entirely with clippers?

yes

in the same sense that anyone's hair can be done entirely with clippers.

it depends on your hair, how you want it cut, etc....

NOT always.

I've been going to the same place for a long time. Very professional m-f, but sat morning is when they let old customers/ freinds in (not officially open). Sports on teh tv, beer or two and shooting the shit. It's not unusual to have people stick around all morning, send someone out for lunch, and stick around to watch the end of the gamer, or the next.

I liked the chat in the white barber shop I used to go to. Not so much funny, but it was good shit. My barber used to be a professional kickboxer, and apparently a lot of interesting shit goes down in pro kickboxing tournaments. He was also a State grad.
