I didn't get back from work last night until about 4 am. And it was a long shift...I was pretty beat up this morning when I got up at 9. I also decided to go for a run instead of rushing and going to church.

Also...I feel like I'm a pretty good Christian...but I'm definitely not a fan of organized religion. I know what's right and what's wrong...I don't need a preacher to tell me. I'd like to try out some churches to see if I can find one that I'm comfortable with and don't feel like I'm being judged with every sermon.

^Same goes to you, go to a Lutheran church...if you get judged it's probably just one the dish you bring to the coverd dish lunch after the service.

I'm an atheist, so no church for me. Although I would go to church with my grandmother if she asked, but only because it makes her happy. I'll also hold hands for family prayer, but I don't bow my head or close my eyes.

i had a friend freshman year that said lutherans and catholics hate each other...also heard in the minnesota area, there are a lot of lutherans

Lutheran and Catholic used to hate each other...some still do. I don't hate Catholics. I have respect for them as long as they respect me.

My great-grandmother got excommunicated from the Catholic church because she married a Lutheran.
That wouldn't happen anymore.

Midwest is Lutheran heaven.

I'm a Deist, and don't care for organized religion. But, I understand why people do like church. It provides a lot of people peace of mind during troubled times and a support group of friends. And for most people, religion simply makes them feel better. And if it makes you be a better person, I'm all for it. Have a blast.

I think the world would be a better place if people let everyone do/think what they want, and not scream at others about how you're wrong, I'm right (like some people who run around NC State campus).

I believe in a God, just not a "religion". Been going to church a little bit more lately with other people and it doesn't bother me. I actually like it and it motivates me until they start preaching about converting people. ...then I get tuned out.

I'm not self righteous, zealous, pseudo-intellectual at all. I'm a pretty fair, nice, open-minded, intellectual (no pseudo) atheist. I didn't cum on anyone. I didn't attempt to destroy the idea of god, I just said he doesn't exist. If that destroys the idea for anyone... well... I'd say they were already there.

While I think attending a place of worship regularly is a good practice, I think any time you can get out there is a great idea
