save money on the power bill:
turn off the lights when you leave a room
don't leave appliances plugged in unless necessary... switch power strips off when you aren't using them
install compact fluorescent lightbulbs and maximize natural light in your home

depends on what you buy and what's on sale. i usually stop by the grocery store about every other day, so it's not hard to comparison shop
