^^^^Are you fucking retarded?Rhetorical question.I don't have to see Hitman to know it's shit, the same way I don't have to see Bring It On 5 to know it's shit.[Edited on March 15, 2008 at 8:59 PM. Reason : hasdf]

3/16/2008 10:57:51 AM
blazing saddles is an awesome movie. Just got Life of Brian on blueray. Anyone seen it yet? Great quality.
3/16/2008 2:23:30 PM

3/16/2008 2:41:04 PM
^^^I only posted the website because he talked shit about a movie widely considered a classic in favor of a video game adaptation, like what you want.I like plenty of "rotten" movies[Edited on March 16, 2008 at 3:24 PM. Reason : fhsd]

who's gotten their PS3 BRD's back? I sent away for those in early January.
3/17/2008 3:01:30 PM
Well here we have one guy saying "i saw that movie, and i liked it a lot, and you might too, so you should watch it."And we have a bunch of other guys saying "i heard that movie sucked, so i'm not going to see it, and neither should you."
3/17/2008 10:02:02 PM
it makes more sense to take the opinion of the guys that haven't seen it, duh.
3/17/2008 10:15:43 PM
hitman is not too bad a movie. it fulfills it's purpose, it's entertaining and not horrible. wish they stuck to the game's storyline a little better though

here comes BD-Live ...http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/03/20/firmware-v220-bringing-bd-live-to-ps3/
3/20/2008 10:51:51 AM
now all we need is DTS-MA decoding and we're good as gold.
3/20/2008 11:03:46 AM
I'm not sure how that works ... is that a hardware or software issue? Could the PS3 potentially decode DTS-MA with a firmware upgrade?
3/20/2008 11:09:17 AM
There are two options for the lossless codecs - either the PS3 can decode it and pass the decoded info along to the receiver OR the PS3 can just pass the raw data (to a receiver that is capable of decoding ).They have already stated there is not enough bandwidth to pass the raw data, so decoding in the PS3 is the only option. And yes, it's just a matter writing the software to do it. It's got plenty of power to do it.
3/20/2008 1:34:16 PM
LET'S GIT ON DIS SHIT SONY!
3/20/2008 1:37:45 PM
We won't see DTS-HD MA on the PS3 until there is a stand-alone $399.99 or cheaper BD-Live player that also has DTS-HD MA decoding on board. Just like with BD Profile 1.1.
3/20/2008 1:44:02 PM
so how does BD-Live work with current BD movies? Do they have to report all those movies or are we just SOL...not that I'd ever use BD-live...never had a reason to use it for HD DVD.
3/20/2008 2:06:27 PM
The only movies that support BD-Live at this point are "War" and "Saw IV."The next two movies will be "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" and "The 6th Day."

^I'm not talking about HDMI bandwidth being insufficient for DTS-MA.HDMI 1.3 (or 1.3a?) was still not finalized when Sony spec'd the PS3. Whatever A/V chip they've got in there was designed with a draft of 1.3. It cannot handle full DTS-MA passthrough. That's why on-PS3 decoding (using the Cell) is their only option.also, my Onkyo 605 is capable of decoding DTS-MA.
3/21/2008 11:24:59 AM
That's not because of bandwidth.
3/21/2008 12:45:53 PM
well, technically the A/V chip doesn't have the bandwidth... but it's a matter of semantics at that point. Anyway, just felt like I should explain what I meant.
3/21/2008 2:31:13 PM
marcey thinks its gonna win.

You know, this shit is a brilliant way to get people to rebuy old movies.Kudos.
3/26/2008 11:44:28 AM
Just like I re-bought a lot of my movies when DVD came out.But like VHS, I won't buy ALL of my DVDs again; just the favorites.
3/26/2008 11:48:14 AM
^Exactly. The upconversion on some films will do just fine for me. But others I'll want on HDM
3/26/2008 12:08:36 PM
or just like when I bought LOTR's theatrical version and then re-bought the extended editions and will be re-buying the blu ray editions.
3/26/2008 2:39:17 PM
^Yeah, some things you just have to experience in high def. LOTR being one of them.I watched Appleseed Ex Machina last night. Very pretty in HD. Makes heavy use of surround sound.
