I've had Costas for several years now. They're cheaper than the higher-end Oakely stuff and the quality of the lens and the fit are markedly superior. The blue lens is the only lens with pretty much zero color distortion, that's why it's popular.I have Costa Triple Tails. $180 with tax at that place in South Hills.

i'm still looking for sunglasses (have been for years now). i apparently have a small head and 99% of sunglasses are too big. i can't wear the sport type ones that have the side ear pieces that go straight back (don't curve around the ear) bc they make my ears stick out. although that may have more to do with the fact that the ear piece sticks out behind my head bc it's too long, so the fatter part of it makes my ear stick out.i wear prescription glasses that i do not need for distance or to drive and they fit great. i found a website that will put polarized tinted non-prescription lenses in the same frames, but the lense height is kinda short and wouldn't be ideal for sports. i hate my head these are my current prescription glasses.they have transitions lenses, but that does me no good in a car where the windows block UV rays and for things like going to the beach where i need to see distances.i've always wanted Oakleys, since Oakley is my last name...but they never fit any suggestions? i want plastic frame, plastic lens sport sunglasses. oh and i have to have some that have those nose bridge thingies or they're too low and don't cover my eyes.[Edited on March 19, 2008 at 9:43 AM. cheap walmart ones are acceptable for small headed people.

oakley also makes prescription frames and metal frames and the like. Most reputable companies will make a frame to fit all head sizes/types, you just might not be able to find them at the kiosk in the mall.

Anybody have a pair of the banana republic glasses?

Costa del Mar Hardtail model with the blue polarized (cancels water reflection which is great for fishing, kayaking, etc.) you will not regret it

73, just wait till lenscrafters or where ever does a special. Get any frame w/ Rx sunglass lenses.....WOW

thanks for the suggestion but i don't want or need rx sunglasses. i need normal nonprescription sunglasses.the lady at oakley suggested the asian fit ones since the nose bridge is narrower and the nose pads are larger, but the stems are curved. i'd like to try them on first...for now i have ordered the grey tinted version of the shooting glasses and safety glasses that i have (smith & wesson mini-magnum). I Love love looove electric visual sunglasses. They have fit be the best out of the ones I have tried. I always have a problem with sunglasses being too tight and hurting behind my ears or being too lose and falling off. The electrics I have fit great, and they are made to stay on during physical activity (I wear them while snowboarding and have never had any issues). I also have the polarized ones.

i've had two pairs of Costa Del Mars, they are great if you are on the water a lot. My brother-in-law swears by Smiths, he also uses them around water. Maui Jim's are also supposed to be nice, really lightweight.
