I'm telling you, Sears has a good boot selection--but I usually wear steel toes all the time. I just bought some brown Wolverines and black Timberlands in the last couple of months. So if that's the kind of boot you're looking for, check out the Sears at Crabtree. I'm telling you, Sears has a good boot selection--but I usually wear steel toes all the time (no homo). I just bought some yellow/black/blue Wolverines from Marvel and in the last couple of months, my feets have been chafed and cut like Nightmare On Elm Street Part 2. So if that's the kind of boot you're looking for, check out the Sears at Crabtree. Like these:

FTWI mean if you are just going to be wearing them around and not doing any sort of work that requires more than a 6" boot these are the ticket. I have worn boots from Rocky (my 2nd most fave), Danner, Warrington, Red Wing, etc... and I have a pair of Redback's that I wear for my duty boot now, granted I wear the black w/steel toe, but these boots have an awesome fit, and look great under a pair of jeans or khakis and are very very comfortable and last forever.check them out: http://www.redbackboots.com/unpuboots.html

yeah no offense joe# but don't see you needing any sort of actual work boot like those... you'd just look kinda like an idiot.... like the guy said they work really well for keeping out water/mud/manure/piss/etc and unless you're gonna be in that sorta shit every day you're just gonna look all brokeback retarded in those...get some like hooksaw or ^ posted...don't be 'that guy'

You need some nice handmade shit kickers.Hand stitched rolled welt, carved high arch leather midsole, stacked leather heel, Vibram Fire outsole, custom fit to your foot measurements for an extra $85 (on top of the $400 price tag...)It'd take you 3 weeks of regular wear to break them in.Possibly the best wildland firefighting boot made. I'm too poor to buy them Seriously though, important stuff about boots...They MUST be made with stiff midsoles, especially if your feet are just the slightest bit flat. Composite, steel, or stiff stacked leather is good. All rubber/cardboard (yes, cardboard, cut a cheap pair open and look) midsoles found on boots <$200 suck ass for foot comfort and durability.Boots are supposed to fit very snug, but you need a good 1/2" of extra length in the toe box. As they break in your foot will slide slightly forward, so a pair that is just the right length when you first buy them will end up too short. The soles need to be wide enough for your feet because the leather will also stretch widthwise. The breakin period depends on how thick/stiff the leather is to start with. Breakin for most casual boots isn't really a big deal, just a week of wearing them.Good boot companies would be Frye for casual stuff, White's, Nick's, Wesco, Redwing for work. Anything else just depends on the particular model.

For the record, I went and tried on a pair of the boots pictured second in my original post. They're awesome, although an absolute bitch to pull off.
