who are YOU PEOPLE to decide what must be my personal priorities? Oh yeah, socialists who want to control everything else like healthcare and cafeterias.

DrSteveAliasyou're the only one getting worked up about this...we're all rightfully so making fun of this stupid change by Pelosi...you however seem to really have your panties in a bunch about the Iraq War and seem to want to tie the Iraq War into any discussion about any topic, however unrelated...well there are plenty of threads about the Iraq War...if thats the only thing you want to talk about then take that shit to another thread...this thread has a pretty clear cut topic, which is Pelosi's food changes in Congress...everyone who doesn't have a hardon for Pelosi realizes that

nice...i call you out for being 100% wrong on your quote, and your response is to call ME an idiot and give me the rolly eyes, in response to YOU being completely wrongno wonder you're too fucking stupid to know who you people are..."Doctor" huh...you might want to make your next alias "RetardedSteveChaos"Have fun getting your panties in even more of a twist as you try to seek some type of reason as to why TWW would dare discuss such an insignificant story like this]

Christ on a cracker, some people are actually too stupid to live. You are probably one of them.

^^Well then, good thing I'm not a Democrat or a liberal. And, good thing conservatives never, ever do the same thing.Oh, and good thing that the debate was whether or not the Liberal Lunch Tyranny was a good thing, and not whether this was a matter of tremendously stupid priorities to get all worked up over.Phew - I think we dodged a bullet there, didn't we?[Edited on January 17, 2008 at 2:07 PM. Okay, I admit it - I walked in late and skimmed, and what I saw was complaining about left-wing lunch tyranny. Which is a stupid thing to get one's panties in a wad over. However, on the balance, Pelosi's priorities are still dumber. There, now everyone can agree and we can live in peace, love, and sunshine.
1/17/2008 2:12:39 PM
well plenty of threads in TSB arent necessarily regarding the most important issues in the world, but often just taking jabs at whatever opposite party, ie "pelosi pushes gourment menu" or "republican senator gets gay in bathroom"neither have the significance of a war or 9/11 or something but they're all worth discussing to some length in tsbthey're also all just asking for trouble, but thats politics in general[Edited on January 17, 2008 at 2:15 PM. ^^ I more just get the feeling in the back of my head that a demagogue like Rush Limbaugh (or whoever) would trump this into, say, an "actual issue." Dwarfing any failures in the party he's cheering for.So you'll have to forgive me if my automatic response is somewhat based upon this - using trivial shit to provoke a greater outrage than say, actually significant shit going on.Note that I'm not accusing you of doing this - I'm more pointing out where I'm coming from.[Edited on January 17, 2008 at 2:18 PM. Of all the problems within this country is the only thing you really have to bitch about is the fucking menu at the congressional cafeteria. suck my nuts douche
1/17/2008 2:48:35 PM
But would they also be bitching if she made the cafeteria the cheapest and unhealthiest shit available? Yes, and probably moreso. This is a non-issue made by the same people that file sexual harassment suits when you smile at them.

so the US Congress just modernized their cafeteria......so that it would be comparable with every other moderately-sized or larger workplace in the country....so what? Good lord, hooksaw, how exactly does this get your panties in a bunch? Do you even have any experience working anywhere that has an employee cafeteria? I mean BESIDES the NC Dept. of Corrections and/or Fountain DIning Hall? fuckin'
1/17/2008 3:50:31 PM
all that wine and cheese she must be a tarheels fanso tell me JoeSchmoe...do all other moderately sized workplaces offer "A fruit and cheese side dish with two small wedges of brie and cheddar, six grapes, two saltines and one strawberry cost $4.95"- 2 pieces of cheese- 2 crackers- 6 grapes- 1 strawberry5 dollars]

i guess if it were a TRUE american cafeteria the menu would consist of -Fried Chicken- 1/2 lb thickburgers- French Fries- Cornbread- Onion Rings- Mashed PotatosLeave it to the reactionary neo-con TWW pundits to turn cafeteria food into a fucking partisan issue. 1/17/2008 5:37:10 PM
i think you might be missing the point that ties this into socialism/nanny statethe premise is, the government thinks you, me, and everyone else (except for them of course) are too damn stupid to think for themselves...we obviously cant responsibly choose what we eat, so they tell us what we should eat...you shouldnt eat trans fats, so lets ban them...after all you're too dumb to make that choice on your own, don't worry though, we'll tell you everything you should do
1/17/2008 5:44:08 PM
1/17/2008 5:46:11 PM
i can understand the trans-fat argument. As you can make the same foods w/o using trans-fats. Like how there is regulations that your ground beef can not be say 10% dog. Trans-fat oils were a way to increase a businesses bottom line at the expense of the consumer's health. Unfortunately, a lot of people are not aware of difference. From my take on the argument though it does not sound like they are eliminating necessarily the diversity of foods that many enjoy. Merely adding some new "healthful" alternatives.
1/17/2008 5:48:29 PM
did you see what i posted earlier though?you got 2 crackers, 2 pieces of cheese, 6 grapes and a strawberry for FIVE DOLLARSthats extortion
