there is a simple way around the photon pressure barrier.... the problem is actually doing it

it's what the startrek ships 'technically' use.

the warp field basically literally warps space time, thus you never actually go faster than light relatively, but you travel a greater distance than light could in the same about of time in the absolute.

gl actually doing that with anything short of a star or blackhole gravity well.

So what if a spaceship was attached to a treadmill and as the spaceship went the speed of light, the treadmill did too but in the opposite direction, would Les Stroud or Bear Grylls be better?

I think they used it to create the warp plasma for their nacelles. much like a mass spectrometer, they shoot matter at it at a certain rate/angle the gravity then either rips the atoms apart or the plasma is somehow siphoned off of a mini accretion disc
