funny, i'm seeing 39 and 36 percent[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 9:19 PM. Reason : 39 percent of polls reporting]
1/8/2008 9:19:26 PM
was in the 70's about 10 minutes ago but hillary is trading in the low 60's again.... this could be a nailbiter for the next hour or so
1/8/2008 9:22:01 PM
little worried about voter turnout being strongly in favor of Dems in both Iowa and NH so far (don't know about WY)
1/8/2008 9:24:04 PM
hillary's got 39 percent and obama 36.......... where are you getting this?
1/8/2008 9:24:24 PM
Hillary is trading slightly below 60% now... ew... obama is picking up momentumIm saying 60% chance to win.... not the actual primary #'s
1/8/2008 9:25:20 PM
oh
1/8/2008 9:25:47 PM
39 -37
1/8/2008 9:26:33 PM
The gap is narrowing but Obama is running out of real estate.I'll feel pretty confident if Hillary maintains a 2-3% lead with 50% reportingObama just traded at even money again. Christ.... from 70% to 50% in 20 minutes this is crazyPeople arent taking big positions... no one is sure where this is headed** Now Obama is trading as the 60% favorite.... making my stomach turnObama trades as a 2:1 favorite at 9:31Heavy volume at 9:34 pushes Clinton back to just shy of even money.9:37 Clinton trades at 60%. I have NEVER seen anythign like this in the political markets. Back and forth with conviction. [Edited on January 8, 2008 at 9:37 PM. Reason : a]

McCain didn't even hold MY attention through his entire speech.Thankfully he usually does a lot better (though he's no Obama, Reagon, or JFK)
1/8/2008 9:38:59 PM
I flipped away due to him. He needs the "RRRaaaarrrrrrhhhh" back.
1/8/2008 9:39:55 PM
1/8/2008 9:42:36 PM
^ dude he has no shot. Be real.Obama is trading around 80-85% to win and Hillary is about 15-20%Edwards isn't even trading at 1% (SC numbers)Overall he's trading around 1% to win the Dem nomination[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 9:45 PM. Reason : a]
1/8/2008 9:44:04 PM
Romney has actually pulled back to 5.5% down - maybe not as big of a win for McCain as thought

souf carolina has black peopleobama is blackQED[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 9:45 PM. Reason : .]
1/8/2008 9:44:22 PM
I would hope black people wouldn't vote on just race....then again, it IS SC...
1/8/2008 9:45:26 PM
They've waited for this for centuries and 95% of them voted for gore.
1/8/2008 9:46:36 PM
Exactly. Even though black people dont usually vote the black people are so black in SC that the white people are scared to leave their houses to go to the pollshillary trading around 2:1 fave[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 9:48 PM. Reason : a]
1/8/2008 9:47:58 PM
is a NH win for Hillary really that big? wouldn't a senator from NY have better shots at this traditionally more conservative state? I think Hillary will win out over Barack since she has steadily been holding a 2% lead. What about that McCain speech? At one point I felt the crowd was chanting "John McClain John McClain!"
1/8/2008 9:59:31 PM
I mean its pretty damn big because Obama was predicted to win by double digits by everyone today. This completely reverses the momentum and makes this race a pure dogfight from here on out.Hopefully they both burn through their cash so McCain can take the election10 PM Hillary is trading around 66% to win10:04 PM Hillary trades at 80% to win. Unbelievable. Traded at 30% to win as recently as 9:30 PM[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 10:05 PM. Reason : a]
1/8/2008 10:01:16 PM
It's good to see Huckabee fail so miserably in NH. I'd like to see Obama win NH simply because I think Hilary is the worst possible option for Pres. of all candidates on either side.
1/8/2008 10:05:02 PM
I think you can be right if you spin it from the Clinton camp being the "comeback kids". They put the brakes on the Obama train today and now they can stage a "comeback" against the big dog. She has successfully set the bar low with her media outputs and let everyone eat crow it looks like. Spin it from Obama's camp and you're still the out of no where candidate who almost stole a primary from Clinton's backyard. But they have to be careful not to get so far ahead of themselves with listening to the polls. I mean if he gets beat again when he was the favorite, he's in trouble. But it will be a dogfight from here on out on the Democratic side between Clinton-Obama. McCain-Romney will be just as bad as they move into the bible belt and Super tuesday.
1/8/2008 10:07:52 PM
i'm hoping the guy from chicago has some mafia connections that make him win in the end
1/8/2008 10:08:21 PM
^^^no way. that would be Edwards, at least out of the major contenders (THE worst would be Kucinich)[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 10:09 PM. Reason : ^^^]
1/8/2008 10:08:39 PM
Romney looks dead in the water.Giuliani is still running 2nd and Huckabee is the darkhorse in third. He could gain more momentum but as of now McCain is gaining momentum as the clear cut Repub favorite.Hillary trading close to 90% for NH primary. This thing could be called now really but the media is going to let it hang for the ratings.[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 10:11 PM. Reason : a]
1/8/2008 10:10:15 PM
man, i still think it's pretty open on both sides
1/8/2008 10:13:16 PM
How is Rudy still in this as of today? Speculating futures yes, he can win Florida and other big states, probably NY. But Romney isn't dead as long as the media keeps covering him as the darling to the boring McCain. I forgot about Huckabee though. Ha! Seriously GOP primary, I can't keep up.and just as an aside, I hate HATE the mainstream media who get to spin all the topics.they help give shitty non-representing states of Iowa and NH more weight than they should. Seriously, who cares who wins NH? How do they represent me in Mississippi? they kill candidates because they didn't live up to their media polls. they canonize candidates because they are witty and speak to them on their programs.i don't care who we here are voting for, because I trust mainly everyone that blogs/posts knows more than the average person who watches the MSM for their information. but thats why I can't stand them. b/c they still have so much weight in people's lives when all they do is promote old silly stupid politics[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 10:17 PM. Reason : i hate talking heads]
1/8/2008 10:13:28 PM
Kucinich is as much a real candidate as you or I. He doesn't even have enough support to register as a blip on the radar. My hope is that Ron Paul is able to garner enough support that the Republican party actually adopts some portion of his platform and drags itself away from the right wing christian nut jobs currently influencing it so much. I'd much prefer the choice between a moderate dem and a moderate pub than seeing the country choose between Clinton and Huckabee.
1/8/2008 10:13:33 PM
bwahhahaha john edwards mill
1/8/2008 10:15:47 PM
edwards wife is horrible...i heard it in the other room and i was like uhhhhh
1/8/2008 10:16:47 PM
And for some reason, this is actually the most interested I've been in an election since 1996, despite the fact that the only really compelling candidate is someone I likely won't vote for.
1/8/2008 10:17:09 PM
^^ yeah, she sucks. She was just blabbering on about her husband being the "son of a mill worker". It's bad enough to hear the diarrhea that spews from his mouth--I don't want to hear it from her, too.[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 10:18 PM. Reason : ^^]

This guy is such a fucking homo I swear. You are the asshole who drove all these expenses up so high. Its despicable to run a campaign on anecdotes about people dying. This isnt a fucking jury you cant homo yourself to victory.[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 10:22 PM. Reason : a]
1/8/2008 10:21:45 PM
God, will Edwards just shut the fuck up about all these people he has met and spent time with. He is saying the exact same thing he said in Iowa. Please drop out already and save us from this shit.
1/8/2008 10:22:42 PM
Exactly. He's such a blatant panderer that I think even the idiots who vote democrat based on the tug of their heartstring can see through him.
1/8/2008 10:23:35 PM
hey health care pretty important so you all stfu. edwards is a stump speech man, but he hasn't changed his speech since 2004. which is just kinda lame. but its okay we all know you guys hate lawyers, unions, babies, and rainbows.
1/8/2008 10:24:34 PM
god i hope its mccain versus obama
1/8/2008 10:25:20 PM

Corporations create jobs.Washed up losers are a drain on society.Fuck anyone who doesn't purchase health insurance.Edwards doesn't even believe the garbage he's spewing. If he was a real man he'd be helping his wife right now instead of putting his ego/personal goals ahead of her life.
1/8/2008 10:28:24 PM
Maybe he is helping her. Semen cures breast cancer
1/8/2008 10:29:50 PM
the college towns with about 3 or 4k worth of votes that usually lean obama have yet to come back if i heard what i heard earlier right...that could help obama and paul catch up to the person in front of them
1/8/2008 10:30:47 PM
I didnt so much mean boring, as I did old. However that may be a good thing for him since I can see republicans voting for him this time since they missed the chance in 2000 and they know his record in Washington. I mean McCain has staged one hell of a real comeback since shifting advisors months back. And why does it feel Clinton winning NH is bigger than McCain? Its not like Democrats win it in november.
1/8/2008 10:32:43 PM
I thought 2/3 of the jobs are created by small business?and MSNBC calls it for Clinton.
1/8/2008 10:33:39 PM
because McCain was expected to win (albeit more narrowly)Obama was projected to smack Hillary Clinton down in NH right up until the results started coming in.
1/8/2008 10:33:54 PM
Yup, there's very little excuse for not having health insurance. Frankly, it's not that expensive. If people would fix their priorities it wouldn't be such a problem. I'm curious as to what the overlap is between those without health insurance and those watching Edwards talk about it on cable TV.
