i live in Portlanda local theater this past weekend showed a live-cast supported screening of The Big Lebowski, a la Rocky Horror Picture Showit was an entertaining productionand i think using an actual comedy instead of a "so bad its good" flick for an audience participation event is a lot better

Lebowksi is one of the best movies ever made. Probably Oh brother next... and then it gets difficult. I need to go back and watch Raising Arizona sometime. And I need to go back and rewatch A Serious Man. It was different, pretty slow, but I enjoyed it.[Edited on May 20, 2013 at 12:43 PM. Reason : ]

Rock-solid thread. My favorite working filmmakers.1. No Country for Old Men2. Fargo3. Barton Fink4. Raising Arizona5. Miller's Crossing6. The Big Lebowski7. O Brother, Where Art Thou?8. A Serious Man9. Blood Simple10. True GritNote that even True Grit would get a B and everything from Lebowski up would get an A or A+ from me. But I'm definitely a Coen Bros fanboy.[Edited on May 20, 2013 at 6:13 PM. Reason : /]

Blood simple #9 ? list not valid.

^I mean I loooove Blood Simple but I just think the other 8 films listed are better. MAYBE higher than O Brother and A Serious Man, but that's as high as it'd go. I think Barton Fink is better as far as early Coen Bros films go. Still, Blood Simple is one of the better directorial debuts of the last 30 years. I'd give it like an A-[Edited on May 21, 2013 at 5:06 PM. Reason : /]
