one thing to remember about edwards is that he has accepted public matching funds which pretty much means that he probably won't be able to run much of a campaign on the same scale as clinton or obama (or most anyone else) at this point outside of small scale states like IA and NH

iowa played out like that on purpose. it's better that mccain lost. neither huckabee or romney could beat clinton. and mccain is probably the only one that could beat obama. edwards could beat mccain. the republicans would never let huckabee from "arkansas" get the nomination.
