ya know, i've done shit like that for years. what i really need is for someone to die. for years, i've simply gone, "oh, it'll be ok." i'll let this slide, someone made an honest mistake.but you know what? some people deserve to be goddamned beat down.
12/10/2007 11:34:54 PM

christ, this shit's got nothing on finding an intruder in your house.or mistaking zucchini for cucumber[Edited on December 11, 2007 at 12:53 AM. Reason : ]

But if you find an intruder in your house, you can legally kill him with your gun. You do have a gun, don't you?

I had a bat.

am i that off-base for being this angry, seriously?christmas is here. i've been fucked around with by these people for 3 months. a minimum payment of about $140 per month is now over $1,000, and i'd bet my teeth that when I call again today, I'll get the dickaround again.forgive me for caring about my credit.
12/11/2007 8:02:32 AM
Anger is good. Anger is useful sometimes. The best thing you can do is let them know exactly how pissed off you are. Threaten them with legal actions (if you have a leg to stand on that is), tell them that if they don't have this shit fixed before you get off the phone with you that you'll be transferring your balance and canceling your card. That's really the biggest threat you can make to these guys.
12/11/2007 8:30:25 AM
I bet like 2 billion people would die just to have problems like yours.
12/11/2007 8:54:27 AM
who cares about 2 billion people?the only thing that matters is one's self
12/11/2007 8:55:43 AM
uhhh credit protection is against fraud. not against interest or you buying shit. there isn't a "plan" on earth that will stop interest charges (short of paying way over the min) on a credit card. student loans even accrue interest, you just get the payments differed till later, you still have to pay it.[Edited on December 11, 2007 at 9:10 AM. 12/11/2007 9:10:06 AM
well there are the types of things that defer your payment requirement for a couple months if you have a disabling injury or whatever....but that's not the same thing i dont think
12/11/2007 9:12:01 AM
People from AmEx try to get me to add credit protection (or whatever it's called) in the event of personal injury or loss of a job. They will make the minimum payments for me for up to 6 months, but of course the interest will +++[Edited on December 11, 2007 at 9:14 AM. Reason : ^ beat me ]
12/11/2007 9:14:04 AM
You might want to check your credit. I bet they fucked it up. http://www.truecredit.com
12/11/2007 9:14:15 AM
yeah i think the citi schpeal about fraud protection and deferment of payments for 3 months is around the payements for the fraud protection service... they'll give you three months of the service for free, then you have to remember to cancel it, it's not that they're deferring your balance/interest payments for three months.it's intentionally worded tricky when you're speaking to their customer sales reps...[Edited on December 11, 2007 at 9:15 AM. Reason : that's what i gathered anyways from my citi account]
12/11/2007 9:14:42 AM
Go grab a job at any retailer or fastfood. If they have really fucked you like you said, everyday you're not working to pay this shit off is just going to compound the problem. Its like 2 weeks before christmas, if you can't find a retailer job, there is no God.
12/11/2007 9:18:07 AM

Surely you have friends that can loan you some cash? I think joe#s was offering and we all know he has the money because he lets subtly lets us know he does.
12/11/2007 9:21:28 AM
^ quite possibly the worst advice and worst trolling ever. i feel let down don't borrow money from a friend. just go get a job?topic=505732
12/11/2007 9:25:32 AM
i'm still really confused...did you or did you not buy things and use your credit card as payment? did you or did you not pay off your credit card (or make minimum payments) on time every month? did you or did you not realize that interest accrues on purchases made, even if you make the minimum payment? did you or did you not realize that this "credit protection" does not eliminate the need to pay off your card or remove interest charges on an unpaid balance?or are you saying that you're being charged $1k+ in "credit protection" fees?
12/11/2007 9:29:46 AM
i thought he was saying his min. payment was $1k, which would be an enormous principal balance
12/11/2007 9:31:16 AM
It wasn't trolling you pussy. And it isn't bad advice. I've had no problem loaning friends money and getting it paid back. Of course, I'm probably a better judge of people than most people, so I suppose I could be an exception.
12/11/2007 9:32:22 AM
if you want out of this easy:1) sell the car, house, drugs or other expensive items you boughtif you can't:1) ask parents / family for advice or help2) do you have any equity?3) any 401k built up? these can be redeemed early in life with a promise to repay by an arranged date4) consider getting a job.. you can make > than your minimum payment a month if you work hard enough (yes you will probably have to leave school too)good luck man.. only tryin to help
12/11/2007 9:35:23 AM
He already works full-time and isn't in school.
12/11/2007 9:43:38 AM
im curious as to why the minimum payment jumped up so high. when i first got my credit card, they used to be like $50, but as of lately are always around $20 and sometimes even $0. ive never heard of them being that high
12/11/2007 9:45:42 AM
my minimum is $15/month and i have a $6500 limit on my student visa through BoA (haha, you just keep calling and telling them you're a student, and you don't have to prove anything)...interest rate is right around 5%
