MegaBite had a decent one. it wasn't traditional, more like the Steak Hoagie, but it was big and thick

Best Steak and Subs at Crossroads used to be ok. Then they switched owners and now I hear they're horrible. They were never great and their prices were steep, but on par for a cheesesteak in Raleigh I guess.

Pat's and Geno's are tourist traps...the steaks are marginal at best.Tony Luke's is the way to go for steaks and roast pork sammiches.On a wine and cheese note, the Independance Brew Pub at the Philly Convention Center has an EXCELLENT cheese steak made with filet mignon tips.

Yeah I used to like Best Steak but haven't been there in a while... sucks if they suck now.
