How long ago did you do what? PM me if you don't want to say it here. I can say from friends experience that you usually get a second test if the first one is positive (although sometimes you have to do it at your own dr and pay for it yourself) that will void the original. By the time that would happen, you should def be able to pass and be a-ok

we haven't had a random test in over a year and a half.i have a hard time thinking it was completely "random". I'm the youngest guy in the office and myself and 3 of the younger electricians from the field that i'm sure probably won't pass got called. Then they threw in a couple of the older guys to throw it off. conspiracy!

Most companies make you get clean within X weeks and retest. I've never had to deal with this though so I can only speak to what I've heard about various companies.

but meat isnt a drug.help
11/28/2007 10:22:53 AM
My company doesn't drug test - but we don't have problems with drug addicts coming to work high... so drug testing would be a big waste of money.

^^^ the term "sodomy law" covers laws that prohibit sex acts between consenting adults, not just "sodomy" as in anal sex.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodomy_lawSexual-deviance laws fall into this umbrella category and are all potentially covered under Lawrence v. Texas (2003). Hell, some sodomy statutes make it illegal to masturbate.[Edited on November 28, 2007 at 10:38 AM. Reason : ]

My personal belief is that ultimately, it all boils down to your personal responsibility. If you knew that you might possibly (even if it's a remote possibility) be subjected to drug tests, and that the results of such tests could directly impact your employment status, yet you still decided to partake of substances which would produce unfavorable results in such tests...then you should be prepared to deal with the consequences of your actions.Regardless of what should or should not be fair, in your opinion, even if it involves eating meat, you agreed to abide by explicitly stated policies as a term of employment. It's not your right to be employed by any company; it is your privilege. Is it really that hard to just not do it? Are you really using your substance habits to determine the path that your life career makes? That goes for all habits: internet, alcohol, pot, coke, little boys, etc. This is a joke.

^^^ Oh I know what the point was, but a lot of people don't realize that those laws were probably ruled as unconstitutional (I say probably because the court left things somewhat open in the sense of what was actually protected.)[Edited on November 28, 2007 at 10:40 AM. Reason : ]
