Well it's a lot easier to play and prove a point against BC when they are in your conference and in your division. Michigan and BC don't play annually.

Les Miles announcement came across like Roy's announcement after the national champtionship game that he didn't give a shit about Carolina - and was working there 1 week later.
12/1/2007 4:04:07 PM
les miles is done. they just showed behind the scenes.-will you be back next year at lsu?yes i will.-so you will be lsu's coach next year.that's correct.
12/1/2007 4:05:15 PM
He's gonna pull a Saban
12/1/2007 4:07:23 PM
He hasn't signed the new contract yet. It doesn't make any sense for him to stay here if his contract has a specific clause to release him for Michigan. My guess is that he's probably going to go to Michigan but did not want rumors/leaked news to cause team unrest for the SEC title game. This morning ESPN was announcing that Les Miles to michigan was a done deal, and the only way to quell it was for him to publicly state that he was definitely staying at LSU. Ultimately I think he will still wind up at Michigan. It's a little far fetched, but in no way unrealistic.
12/1/2007 4:19:55 PM
when your alma mater is as big of a program as michigan is, it's hard to pass up.
12/1/2007 4:25:58 PM
State Fans has some discussion on it on their Les Miles thread.

or maybe if it's his goal to get owned by the fuckeyes annually, then he should go to meeeechigan.

Mark this down: BC Offensive Coordinator Steve Logan to take Duke job by the middle of the week.
12/2/2007 6:44:18 PM
that's who i've been hoping for all along. i really, really like logan.
12/2/2007 6:53:40 PM
Yeah Logan would love to get back down here and compete with the local teams again. He's been wanting to ever since leaving ECU.
12/2/2007 6:59:06 PM
god I hope the beagles take a nose dive next season.
12/2/2007 6:59:25 PM
with all their seniors, they shouldn't be as strong next year. if logan is gone as well...that's an even bigger decline imo.
12/2/2007 7:00:16 PM
Supposedly Logan got the endorsement of both OBC and Krzyzewski and an offer in the neighborhood of 5 years/$6 million

god, i'm reading the michigan scout forum, they're over there deciding whether or not they want bob stoops and urban meyer.
12/2/2007 9:34:21 PM
I seriously hope we're not considering Meyer. Dude just pisses me off. Not sure why.
12/2/2007 10:41:26 PM
whether or not michigan fans are considering urban meyer, i'm sure urban meyer is not considering michiganit's the lunatic fringe!
12/2/2007 10:45:28 PM
whether or not michigan fans are considering urban meyer, i'm sure urban meyer is not considering michigan
12/2/2007 10:50:43 PM
hahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahathats just fucking retarded. Why would Meyer EVER leave Florida for Michigan??
12/2/2007 10:57:06 PM
He wouldn't.
12/2/2007 10:57:27 PM
And I was wondering when we might see you chime in. How things been, jb?
12/2/2007 10:58:06 PM
pretty good. had a fun weekend
12/2/2007 10:58:23 PM
12/2/2007 10:58:37 PM
well, thats kind of my point, if he had wanted to be up there with the Slavs and Polacks he would have taken the ND job
12/2/2007 11:01:56 PM
In my eight trips to Florida, I saw very few attractive women and it was 115 goddamn degrees outside. But he won't leave Florida unless their fans drive him out because he loses the occasional game or two a year.
12/2/2007 11:03:11 PM
^^ what i read was that he didn't take the ND job b/c they wouldn't lower their academic standards for football players.to compare the michigan job to the florida job is fine, personally i'd choose michigan, but no way meyer leaves florida at this point. he's won a NC, and has a damn good shot to win one again next year.
12/2/2007 11:12:32 PM
Yeah, he will another with Tebow there.
12/2/2007 11:13:27 PM
^^ I've never read that, and doesnt sound like Meyer at all[Edited on December 2, 2007 at 11:13 PM. Reason : d]
12/2/2007 11:13:47 PM
lol, i think i read it on wiki, so take it w/ a grain of salt. he did have the infamous out clause for ND though, so there has to be some reason he decided not to take the job.
12/2/2007 11:14:40 PM
everything I read said that is wanted the competition, wanted to "beat the best"
12/2/2007 11:15:58 PM
He probably would have gone to ND if the Florida job hadn't opened up.
12/2/2007 11:16:10 PM
well yeah, durh
12/2/2007 11:16:58 PM
^^^ lol, coming from someone who i'm sure reads his fair share of sec blogs, i'll take that one w/ a grain of salt as well [Edited on December 2, 2007 at 11:17 PM. Reason : ^]
12/2/2007 11:17:23 PM
hahah, tis true. I read it somehwereI wrote it down then I read it

The new hot rumor is Tommy Bowden giving Clemson the Sendek and heading to Arkansas.
12/3/2007 12:10:58 PM
[No]. Giving Clemson the Sendek would be resigning and going to Cincinatti or some shit. Arkansas is at worst a lateral move and probably an upgrade.[Edited on December 3, 2007 at 12:19 PM. Reason : d]
12/3/2007 12:18:35 PM
duke is reportedly talking to steve logani love steve logan
12/3/2007 3:34:47 PM
Bowden staying at Clemsonhttp://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3140991where does Arkansas go now after getting turned down by Tommy B?
12/4/2007 12:05:31 PM
Bowden has the potential to dominate the ACC - or atleast win a couple of titles in the coming years.he can then put his name in the hat for SEC jobs and demand a lot of $
12/4/2007 12:13:11 PM
^ He's had that potential for about five years now."Potential is word with a French root meaning you're not worth a damn yet." - some NFL player
