Not all men are crazy about sandwhiches. Sure, I love a good one, but I am not crazy about them like most guys [apparently] are. Also, a sandwhich doesn't have to have flesh in it. Sure, flesh makes it better, but a good and FILLING vegetarian sandwhich is just fine as well.

That sounds awesome, aside from the PB as everybody said. Perhaps the PB DOES taste good in it, but my imagination says no, without having tasted it. You know what I would have used to sort of make it moist and hold things in place? A thin layer of HUMMUS on both sides. I also surmise that some mozzarella (regular, or preferably fresh buffalo mozzarella) would be awesome in it. Perhaps even cheddar (real cheddar, not processed sliced cheese), or even feta cheese.

Here is a sandwhich I make sometimes when I can afford it:

Whole wheat hamburger/hotdog rolls
Smoked salmon
Cream cheese (plain or smoked salmon)
Sliced tomato
Sliced onion
Dried Italian herb(s) (oregano, basil, dill, tarragon, etc)

Spread thin layer of cream cheese on both sides of bread. Put smoked salmon, onion, and tomato inside (try with both, just onion, just tomato, or none). Sprinkle some dried herbs if you desire, or maybe even torn fresh spinach leaves.

Enjoy.

If you like the Smoked Salmon Bagelwhich from Bruegger's, you will love this.

^ thanks for your recipe!! I recently switched to a vegan diet, so I won't be using any cheese or salmon, delicious though they may be. I'll definitely try hummus though!

the peanut butter adds a little bit of saltiness and crunch. I don't use much, just a very thin layer - like the amount of mayonnaise you'd use. It's more a condiment than an ingredient. and I use the 'natural' kind where the only ingredients are peanuts and salt. I'll never go back to Jiff with their hydrogenated peanut oil

I made an amazing sandwich today:

2 slices GOOD bread (from a bakery or something)
whole, sliced or pulled pieces of turkey (not deli slices... I guess they'd work, though)
neufchatel cheese or soft goat cheese
spicy cranberry chutney

1 roma tomato, thickly sliced
1 white onion, thinly sliced
buttercrisp lettuce, torn

Grill the bread on a cast iron griddle or skillet. Or something, you figure out how to grill bread. Spread the cheese on both sides of the bread. Spread the chutney on the bottom half of the bread and top with turkey. Place the LTO on the other bread and top the sandwich. Cut in half.

The chutney was basically cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, white raisins, clove oil, cinnamon sticks and minced jalapeno and habanero chilis.

ohhhhh sounds good. I made a similar cranberry chutney over thanksgiving, but unfortunately I added too much sugar. As I tasted, it seemed too sour. But when it cooled it sweetened up and ended up being a bit too sweet and not tart enough.
