awesome, glad the new owners are interactive!

It's been 7 years since I've seen the admin take an active interest in the feedback forum*tear swells to eye*It would be neat to have the ability to leave comments under pictures in the photo gallery. It would also cut down on the number of 'caption this pic' threads. I guess under the picture, it would be like another thread. Much like the front page where you can leave comments under the frontpage stories.
11/1/2007 10:30:09 PM
maybe just overhaul the 'photo' page to be sorted into sub categories...even just normal and nsfw would do.
11/1/2007 10:43:27 PM
can premium users be allowed to bump threads of like 150 days old and be able to edit comments like 2 days after they are made?
11/1/2007 10:43:46 PM
I'm impressed by the support that nael is showing.keep up the good work, homie.
11/1/2007 10:53:52 PM
^^ sounds like a good way to hide guilt...^agreed.how about making ultra premium user accounts -offer straight up file storage (all file types except .exe, for instance). have a sliding scale on file size limit, and total storage space - it could be a good source of revenue. I'll take 10 years of Premium membership if you use my idea!]]

Please, for the love of all that is holy and righteous...do NOT let users VOTE on proposals for any changes here.if that happens next thing you know we'll have goddamned Avatars and Sig Blocks all over the placeBut if you REALLY want to allow users to vote, then weigh the votes in direct proportion to the number of posts each user has. ^^ TWW, as a collective, is as dumb as a box of rocks. On an individual basis, we can be pretty bright, but none of us is as dumb as all of us.[Edited on November 2, 2007 at 7:43 AM. Reason : not enough ^s]

I have a small thing that will help a lot and not really change the nature of the site at all.Lots of times you'll be in a certain section and make a thread, only to click the "post'' button and see that you're in the wrong section. No one in Tech Talk cares about your theory on why the Patriots are so dominant. So you have to reply to your own topic, something along the lines of "Shit, wrong section. Plz2 delete." An then a bunch of people will jump in and get their IBTL on. Then you have to copy and paste your thread in the right section or just decide to screw it if you think its too much effort. The ability to move your thread to a different section within say, 5 minutes of posting would help a lot to reduce this problem. I think it would come into play most often in the lounge when people make threads that should really be in chit chat, and don't realize it till they actually see it on the page.[Edited on November 2, 2007 at 8:39 AM. self moderation for 30 minutes would be optimal.

how about when you edit a post the whole

Another one:in the link taginstead of [link]www.somesite.com[/linkwe can do this [link=www.somesite.com]click here[/link]
11/2/2007 1:20:53 PM
^ agreed, editable anchor text FTW.
11/2/2007 2:03:02 PM
Thats why you go premium so you can use the html tag
11/2/2007 2:09:21 PM
Being able to edit the title of pictures/picture folders would be a great change. Hopefully I'm not missing something that's already possible but as far as I know there's no way to do it without deleting/uploading again.
11/2/2007 2:16:03 PM
give us us, 3 threads per hour back, free
11/2/2007 2:45:02 PM
I would say give us an allowance of 24 threads a day, but 11:59 would be horrible.
11/2/2007 3:17:19 PM
AVATARS
11/2/2007 3:36:59 PM
fuck avatars.
11/2/2007 3:46:02 PM
i agree on the thread allowance instead of 1 per section per hour

Don't know if this has been requested yet, but could we maybe increase the photo-gallery capacity? I've got mine filled to the max, but there's always some cool or really funny pic that I want to add but can't, and so I have to pick and choose which ones I'll keep and which ones I'll delete. If it's an issue of storage space or band width or something, we don't have to do it for everyone, maybe just for people who are here for a long time. Maybe start off new users off with 50, then get room for 25 more pics for staying on for a couple of months or so, then get maybe room for 10 more pics per year.Another thing I think would be nifty (though perhaps not necessary) is a quote button under every user's post. Then if you want to quote that person, you click the button. It will take you to the posting window, and the quote is already pasted in the box. It's not as if we can't just highlight somebody's post and then copy-and-paste, but it would be more convenient.I for one welcome our new attentive and involved overlords!
11/2/2007 5:11:45 PM
Premies get unlimited photo capacity.
11/2/2007 5:37:47 PM
with tdubs compression algorithm to save spacethis really isnt the best place to store photos

What I agree with thus far:- can we have a scroll bar for the chatterbox? (hell make it web 2.0 shit so its dynamic!)- What is your definition of html abuse or do you plan to keep that issue up to the mods?- Ginger or Mary Anne?- make replies of multi-page threads default to last page- try not to change the look of TWW- user-given ability to delete thread within say, a half hour of posting (self moderation)- ability to delete PMs permanently- ability to change a user's email- if suspended, users receive email stating length of suspension, and brief explanation.- make polls an available thread creation option- if suspended, allow login and access to PM box, and feedback forum for conflict resolution (maybe a cap at 5 posts ONLY in feedback forum, no sending of PMs, etc)- 30 minute change of thread title ability- Don't screw up this place with a bunch of damn avatars and such.- ultra premium user accounts for file storage; it may be a good way for extra revenue (zorthage.thewolfweb.com would be a slick domain)- make photo captions and titles editable- don't make proposals open to the general TWW population; have a least some sort of post count limit to force only active users to have a say- give some (select) TWW users the ability to implement features (a mod-like status) but they'd have to go through owners/mods before having them deployed. thanks for being open and taking an active interest
11/2/2007 6:09:30 PM
If there is two things TWW should NEVER have, it's avatars and signatures
11/2/2007 7:33:38 PM
^agreed. Its nice to read here without having signatures in between every post.
11/2/2007 7:42:36 PM
keeps us 'equal' for lack of a better word.
11/2/2007 7:43:22 PM
I thought of another thing. How about a "spoilers" feature for text? It would basically put a box around some text that's the same color as the text. This would be really useful for the Entertainment forum, when people want to talk about a movie or a game that others haven't seen/played yet.
11/2/2007 7:44:48 PM
just make a perpetual 'spoilers' thread
11/2/2007 7:46:37 PM
fuck all the change suggestions.i say dont change anything, except maybe chatterbox features and [/user] button... those do seem natural choices. but especially dont allow self moderation or thread title changesfuckers here need to think before you post. if they don't, they deserve every bit of ridicule. thats one of the things that makes TWW great.also, dont give suspended people any priveleges. but it would be nice to know who suspended them and why, maybe an auto-note delivered to their inbox they could read upon return.[Edited on November 3, 2007 at 2:14 AM. thread title changes within 10 minutes
11/3/2007 11:37:19 AM
you can't give users the ability to change thread titles - i really am not sure if you should even give moderators the ability - but i'd agree with that option over having users have that ability - i can foresee a lot of stupid PMs from people requesting changes thoughmore than changing the thread titles i think it'd be nice to be able to merge threads and choose which thread title to keep - it would probably mess up the ^^^^^s that people use but i think that's acceptable
11/3/2007 11:40:55 AM
naelmost of these ideas are really, really dumb, at least for TWW implementation.I mean REALLY dumb.
11/3/2007 1:51:41 PM
Make it so that crazycode isn't case sensitivefor exampleusing a lowercase b I can make things bold. But using an uppercase b [B]doesn't work[/B].
11/3/2007 2:04:36 PM
ok, merging threads would instantly cause both threads to become unreadable. that is stupid. what is the real harm in having more than one thread on a particular subject, especially if each thread is slightly different on what is being discussed?
11/3/2007 4:09:18 PM
11/3/2007 4:26:37 PM
I like the idea from page 1 about being un-google-able. that's all I can think of- otherwise I like the site as it is.
