Picked this up last night from CC w/ the COD 3 free offer.. however, they were out of stock and have given me a rain check for COD3.. has CC ever done this before? I'm gonna be pissed if I don't hear back from them..

I find last stand to be quite useless. Most of the better players know to watch for it to put the last bullet in you. Only time it gets me killed is if I ran out of ammo and dont notice, but then i can just knife =)

Last stand was awesome during the beta... it is definitely a great feeling to take down the guy who just shot you down. Especially cuz I sucked and died a lot. I pretty much just used the Saw (the high power machine gun) and mowed through walls with deep impact and the extra damage perks. I have yet to play the multiplayer but it is going down tonight after Southpark

Wow, i'm very impressed with this game. I've always liked call of duty but never expected it to be on this level. Single player is amazing. Only gripe is the lack of 'leaning' left and right around corners.

it's too easy to rank up in this game, in r6:v it took me weeks to get to the rank i'm at now in cod4

i played against 2 major generals last night that were just plain terrible

THe single player is really fun. When you are using the night vision and firing BIG guns from that plane is simply amazing.

Online I suck nuts. People just run up to me and kill me, I fire like crazy but I dont hit shit. Playing this on the ps3, and those thumb sticks is def a problem aiming..at least for me. THese others guys are amazing.

ive only played the first 2 levels of single player, but i can say that they were epic

besides that, ive spent countless hours playing MP, up to level 27 right now

Yeah, but when you just got halo 3, have AC and Mass Effect on the way, and planning on getting a Wii over the holiday season and will need to get games for that.....it adds up very quickly

My budget is super tight, last night I broke down, I went to Game Stop and traded in Call of Duty 2 and 3, Rampage for the Wii, and Gears of Wars so I could afford this, I got it as an even trade with $2 left over. On a more determined note, I bought it at South Point, and even went in to that office at South Point that pays people for surveys, and took one for $5 to make sure I'd have enough plus the trade-ins. My brother laughed when I told him this and asked if I was going to have to sleep in a public bathroom while I tried to sell my last bone density scanner afterwards, Pursuit of Happyness style. I can't wait to be rich.

I almost feel dirty saying this, but I'm enjoying the multiplayer, almost more than Halo 3, maybe even just a little bit more. Then again I've always been a huge fan of more realistic war shooters than sci-fi, like SOCOM, man I miss that game, and will not buy a PS3 for the new one.

God, the single player of this game is EPIC! Best single player of the year, IMO. Awesome graphics, awesome story line.. and so intense! Can't wait to go back home..

MP on the other hand, will take me time to get used to.. I am used to HALO style MP..where I can see the enemy and shoot / beat him down.. in this on the other hand, everybody is always hidden behind a bunker and shooting me down.. or I just plain suck at it.

when I played the beta I remember get murked an incredible abount of times, but after a while you start to notice...mayB I can't run into every room guns blazing...and started "sneaking" around using the cover to its fullest...then the kills started to come a little more frequently...I def. need to get this game in the near future...I'm sure I'll end up buying it, just not sure when

it is all about the cover. i really did pretty well on the beta, but learning the new maps is tough. it's hard to be really good at the beta, then come into some maps where everyone else already knows the hot spots, and get owned like you were holding the controller upside down or something.

huh...what is prestige mode? first time I've heard this term...anyone care to elaborate?

are any of the weapons you unlock really worth using fairly often...other than the colt or something as a pistol?

once you hit max level, you can choose to reset to level 1, and you gain a prestige rank that others can see. you can do it up to 10 times. but everything is relocked.

I suck at MP. I cant aim the damn joysticks right. It seems like I get killed in one shot, but I can never hit anyone close to me.

Ive unlocked the scope to the first assault riffle, but now I suck worse with that thing. I was really loving this game, but Im horrible. I might give it up quick.

Is there a quick aim like in single player mode? If not, im FUCKED. LOL

Been lvl 55 for like 2 days now on PC. And btw... the MP44 (WWII rifle) is awesome, get it around lvl 52-53.

Um, no, definitely not. You can always tell you have the USP because of the underbarrel tactical light and 12-round magazine. You draw out whatever handgun you have selected for your class.

Did anyone finish the single player yet? I am (I think) in the last level or so on (veteran - 1) difficulty. Achievements come fairly easy on this one.
