well- if u still want a Jetta... I have a friend with a 99.5 (new body), 5 spd, vr6, leather, moonroof, 136k that he was looking to sell for $4500.... kinda steep price but has a bunch of add ons and of course negotiable.

poor choice...I would have gone with a new 3 series bmw. Much more class there and if you go with a 335i...more power too.

It's an 08. The 3 series wasn't even an option for me, driving it was nice, pretty much the same except for the sportier feel of the IS. The 3 series interior is completely cheap and boring looking. I ended up test driving the 08 infiniti g35 to the lexus dealership where i got mercedes (new c series), bmw (3 series) and the lexus IS all aligned up beside each other (everyone was laughing, but it was pretty hot) and there was almost no comparison to the IS in looks. The next best look was the infiniti but I hated the fact that it was an auto 5 speed instead of auto 6 speed like the IS. Another issue was that I was trying to avoid the 300 + horsepower which the g35 was. Yes it is an awesome car, but side by side the IS looked better. The mercedes c series was not too bad but had an ugly rear and ok interior. Simply, it's just taste and they are all very nice cars. For some reason, I had the most fun driving the IS and I am usually a BMW guy so....

^ the lexus website has to have the absolute worst representation of their colors ever. in real life, they are nothing like that.

first, 205 hp on the 250 is not bad to start with (as is driving to fast). 300+ hp = tickets, tickets and more tickets
