^^I didn't have a cell phone and the cop basically wouldn't let me leave the scene to use a phone. He also wouldn't call another cop on the radio. He just cited me for merging into his lane even though my front right fender hit his rear left fender, i.e I could see him plain as day and I was in his blind spot.

1 in 1999.

A girl who had just gotten her learner's permit made a left hand turn in front of me while she was sitting at a red turn light at the intersection. She started turning about 100 feet in front of me and stalled out in my lane. I couldn't stop in time, and swerving wasn't an option because of all the other cars at the intersection. I locked the vehicle up and slid it over so that I made contact with her front end instead of plowing through her brother in the passenger seat.

The highway patrolman that showed up actually told me that he was amazed I was able to navigate the vehicle I was driving well enough to not kill the guy in the passenger seat. That was the first and last time an officer ever congratulated me on my driving.

The girl ended up doing the same thing about a year later, and if I remember correctly the second wreck killed her.

2000 Mustang = 1 (other driver's fault, failure to yield)
2005 Mustang = 0

All other miscellaneous vehicles I've driven = 0

I have had to replace more windshields than I can remember, though.
