I've had a feeling about Robin and Barney since they shared scotch and cigars way back when.
4/22/2008 9:47:29 AM
this made my day...just skip to the 1:35 markhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9k6LFIWhb8
4/22/2008 9:57:05 AM
^^you knew it was gonna happen after that awkward moment at the bar between them when Robin was helping Barney find his stalker/rumour spreader about 4 episodes ago
4/22/2008 10:02:45 AM
Uncle Barney & Aunt Robin... hrm...
4/22/2008 11:25:08 AM
Ha, I love this show... I have classes on Monday nights so I'm going back through and watching the episodes from Season 3 I've missed. I'm only through the first 3 but so far this season is the funniest one yet... It's one of the top two sitcoms on TV right now IMO...
4/22/2008 1:46:00 PM
Man, I love it when they're bagging on Canada, thats some funny shit. James Van Deer Beak was cracking me up with his accent.Robin & Barney wasn't a real shocker to me, but I don't think it'll develop into anything.

I think the video was suppose to suckLets go to the Mall was suppose to be catchy because that was her only hitThis Sandcastles one was suppose to be a shitty follow up like anything Soulja Boy puts out after Crank ThatI never really realized it before but it seems as if they're going toward a Lost-style approach where each episode is dominated by one characterRobin last night, Marshall with his boss last week, Ted with the doctor... and I think a few before the strike focused almost exclusively on single charactersIn past years, it was more like Seinfeld where each character seemed like they had thier own mimi plot line and it wasn't all 22 minutes of one of them.I don't really mind it either way as long as they bring the wit and drama, just thought it was interesting with the shift in focus.
4/22/2008 2:02:34 PM
^yeah they've kinda been going about it that way this entire season. Marshall's had several this season: Job interview, Fiero, and BossTed: Porn Star Ted Moseby, New Years Ever ,doctor girl friendLilly: Credit Card debt and crooked apartmentRobin: the latestBarney: stalker girl and the one where he gets the yips. And then there has been several which encompasses them all including slapsgiving and the one about the annoying habits. The more I think about that the more I really like it. this show is fantastic[Edited on April 22, 2008 at 3:01 PM. Reason : add]

I like how they tie in things from the 1st and 2nd seasons... like continuing the slap bet, more Robin Sparkles, the girls Barney had met.I agree though, the show is great. The writers and actors all do an awesome job.
4/22/2008 4:37:28 PM
I have a slight problem connecting the fact that Ted turns in to Bob Saget
4/22/2008 4:48:19 PM
^ lolers. i love love love this show. every time it's over, i can't wait for the next week to start.
4/23/2008 4:43:13 PM
This season is weak compared to the first twoyou kinda get the feeling it's nearing its end as they seem to be wrapping up storylines
4/23/2008 5:24:53 PM
holy shitrobin and ted get back together
4/28/2008 9:15:35 PM
...or they move in together in order to save money since they are both single and living in New York City?
4/28/2008 9:24:54 PM
he's an architectshe's on tvmarchall's a lawyerthey're basically rich
4/28/2008 9:33:17 PM
I'm still bummed that Robin and Ted clearly don't end up together...I need to go spend some quality time with my DVR now...
4/28/2008 9:40:07 PM
^^the NY1 reporters don't get paid dick, lol.
4/28/2008 11:42:53 PM
It looks like Britney will be back.http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/TV/04/29/britney.spears.tv.ap/index.html
4/29/2008 8:32:53 AM
4/29/2008 9:22:51 AM
^ hah! that was kind of messed up... it made the episode a little more sad than i was hoping for...

4/30/2008 1:27:40 AM
just watched this last night finally.damn, shit got real.
5/2/2008 12:27:47 PM
Any news on a renewal? That would blow if the season finale turns into the series and we never meet the mother...btw, I bought season 1 on DVD and only saw like 3 episodes from it beforehand.. damn it's hilarious.[Edited on May 11, 2008 at 11:39 PM. Reason : x]
5/11/2008 11:38:47 PM
I hope soI don't watch that many shows...mainly this, the office and lostand hells kitchenbut I've seen some of the shit that stays on the air for multiple seasonstheres no way this show shouldn't stay onbut that really has nothing to do with it...its all politics
5/11/2008 11:46:31 PM
For real... I think it's hilarious that we are supposed to think that Ted tells all his kids that he bagged two chicks at once, went to strip clubs on Thanksgiving and that Barney was one of the biggest players in NYC.** I just did a google search and it's all but certain it'll be back... makes sense for CBS since after season 4 it can be syndicated and they'll get royalties...[Edited on May 12, 2008 at 12:14 AM. oh but girlfriend you can not pull off a tall kitchen...
5/12/2008 11:28:11 PM
that episode wasn't too goodand britney spears is a pretty bad actressshe detracts from the show IMOI do like the term GCWOC, however
5/12/2008 11:36:27 PM
i need to stop judging people by what they watch and learn to be more open to other things
5/12/2008 11:43:32 PM
yeah britney was premature with all of her lines. she's a terrible actress.kind of a flat episode tonight-- although I have enjoyed this season so far overall[Edited on May 13, 2008 at 12:13 AM. Reason : ]
5/13/2008 12:12:32 AM
I haven't been watching this season, but I still like this:And I still say Cobie Smulders would make a great Wonder Woman--she's got just enough of an exotic look to pull it off.
5/13/2008 7:38:03 AM
LA time is reporting that HIMYM was picked up for another season by CBS.http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2008/05/upfronts-cbs-re.html
5/13/2008 8:48:29 AM
^^my only issue is that her ass is too fat.
5/13/2008 9:00:25 AM
5/13/2008 9:45:40 PM
i hope this doesn't mean we'll see more of her
5/14/2008 10:25:51 AM
probably not that much more of her.i can see her having cameos in a couple episodes next season though. Especially with the development of Stella and Ted. They will have to deal with Abby's crush sooner of later.
5/14/2008 11:09:24 AM
I can't stand spears but she helped get one of my favorite shows renewed for next year...
5/14/2008 11:59:36 AM
i guess this helps solve if stella is the mother or not.more than likely not.
5/14/2008 12:04:32 PM
^ what?!?
5/14/2008 3:29:18 PM
Well, I highly doubt Chalke is going to be a fixture on this show and Scrubs...I think that is what he meant.. them doing another season rules out her being the mom..[Edited on May 14, 2008 at 4:25 PM. Reason : though, in my opinion, the more sarah chalke the better..]
5/14/2008 4:25:33 PM
I just have such a hard time believing britney is the reason they decided to renew the show. Were the ratings seriously that low?
5/14/2008 11:23:16 PM
What happened to Britney? She looked good on the show the first time, fat the 2nd
5/14/2008 11:36:04 PM
I just started going back and watching season one.Holy mother of god this show is good.how did i not get into this show earlier?
5/15/2008 10:48:27 AM
well season 8 of Scrubs is currently filming, so I could see Chalke sticking around HIMYM. Of course she'll never be a fixture, it would take away from the dynamic.
5/15/2008 11:20:04 AM
^^for me it was the name of the show that kept me away.also, i think that report about birttney being the reason the show is remaining on the air is merely a PR stunt to boost her importance and shine some positive light on her progressive worse appearance in recent media.
5/15/2008 1:06:11 PM
yeah i could definitely live with her never being on the show. i'd argue that if anything, she detracts from it.
