^uh what?he's saying people used to downplay Manning's great TD and yardage numbers because he wasn't winning titles...Brady was winning titles...now that Brady is putting up astronomical numbers they are actually acknowledging stats as part of their argument and saying Brady is the best BECAUSE of his stats this yearand its a good point AndyMac...full circle
10/23/2007 4:44:18 PM
Well, to be fair, you can't make that parallel yet because right now Brady is putting up those #'s AND winning. If they don't make it to the Super Bowl then it would be a fair comparison... however I don't think you'll find many people that would bet against the Pats being Super Bowl Champs right now...** Actually, Brady is putting up numbers never scene in the history of the sport... not just great numbers.[Edited on October 23, 2007 at 4:57 PM. i'm talking about the Brady v Manning comparison thats been going on the last 5-6 years...before Manning had the stats, but Brady had the titles...now Manning has a title and Brady has superhuman stats so far this year...I for one can't wait for the Colts Patriots game in a couple weeks

They are both great.I would take Brady 100% of the time though.^ True - but the patriots aren't the colts. There is a certain level of trust in the patriots that i have never felt for a second about the colts.[Edited on October 23, 2007 at 7:07 PM. Reason : d]

Looks like Brady got bored throwing for TDs so he decided to run in for a few...
10/28/2007 5:18:34 PM
And on the 8th day, Tom Brady was created, as a model for all men to aspire to be. And he did go to The University of Michigan, and he did move on from there to become one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the NFL. And it was good.
10/28/2007 5:30:33 PM
makes you wonder how/why he was so blah at Michigan.... Belichick/Weis have THAT much of an impact?
10/28/2007 5:35:55 PM
Man I love Brady...up 38-0 and they false start and he's like "you gotta be FUCKING kidding me!"
10/28/2007 5:37:47 PM
The only thing Manning does better than Brady is host SNL.
10/28/2007 5:42:32 PM
Now thats what you call a Fuck You touchdown.
10/28/2007 5:43:00 PM
Manning has won a championship recently... Brady is just all stats; running them up against shitty teams in the 4th quarter

10/28/2007 6:07:52 PM

10/28/2007 6:08:04 PM
jesus christ you are fucking dumb, yeah, you are right, I was being totally serious sucks that someone called me out on it! oh damn! I assumed no one would read it and my witty comment would sneak through the cracks unnoticed!

Drew Henson had the chance to make it in 2 pro sports and fucked them both up.Almost as bad as Chris Weinke.
10/28/2007 6:10:50 PM
aha brady

Yah for Peyton...or did SD "cheat" also...lol...glad SD won that game III
11/12/2007 11:51:46 AM
Manning + the Pats o-line
11/12/2007 11:56:29 AM
manning, with the shitty receivers and a host of injuries during this game, almost carried them to victory and would have if v wouldn't have missed his chip shot. To say Brady is better than Manning after that performance might be justified but don't count him out just yet.
11/12/2007 12:03:23 PM
Oh you can't count Manning out...oh no way. But was amazing to see him throw 5 picks in that game. Not counting the last one which actually made 6. But Manning did carry the team, just had a pretty miserable game with pick after pick after pick and pick...and another pick. III
11/12/2007 12:07:01 PM
gives pick 6 a whole new meaning
11/12/2007 2:34:58 PM
lol at Manning
11/18/2007 5:31:46 PM
btt for Brady's 5 TD performance
11/18/2007 10:46:38 PM
I wish one of the Patriots' opposing coaches would have one of their players go head hunting on Brady for running up the score every gameits like when a pitcher hits a batter, then the next inning the opposing pitcher hits a batter as retaliation. Not to be a dickhead and cause an injury, but to stand up for their team and fans
11/18/2007 10:51:07 PM
^thats the pussiest shit a coach or team can do.[Edited on November 18, 2007 at 10:54 PM. Reason : and im pretty sure the defense is already trying to go after brady ]
11/18/2007 10:53:16 PM
not anymore pussy than running up the score and throwing for TDs on 4th down when you are up by 30+ pointsmight teach those patriots that they arent as invincible as they think they are
11/18/2007 10:55:08 PM
^^ run up the score or take him out?I think one deserves the other. If you're going to leave your starters in there for the entire game, even though you're already up by +30, you can't bitch if one of them gets hurt, whether it was intentional or not. If somebody is willing to pay the consequences for taking Brady out, then you can't look down on them anymore than people look down on Bellichik for taking the chance his starters will get hurt when he leaves them in there to run up the score.[Edited on November 18, 2007 at 10:57 PM. 11/18/2007 10:57:06 PM
^ Wait...are you condoning an intentional dirty hit?
11/18/2007 11:02:37 PM
^ what if I am? What are you going to do, run up the score?
11/18/2007 11:12:42 PM
^ Just curious. That says a lot. I wouldn't even condone an intentional career-ender on a unc or ohio state player. Damn...you're hardcore.[Edited on November 18, 2007 at 11:18 PM. Reason : ]
11/18/2007 11:18:24 PM
^ Yeah, well I fucking hate Brady, the Patriots, and Bellichik. I hate all of them as much as I hate Carowhina. And I'm not saying it has to be career ending, or even anything close. Just a hit that makes Brady think twice before he decides to stay in the game when he's no longer needed. Of course he'd probably pull a Bellichik during spygate and take it to mean the NFL was out to get him, and that would make him stay in even longer. Hmmm... Maybe it should be career ending.
11/18/2007 11:22:39 PM
LOL, This lame argument again...I think the D is trying to get to Brady...too bad they can't touch him. His whole OL should be in the Pro Bowl. You can't tell me someone is not itching at the chance to lay Brady out...but no one has come close to really laying a hand on him.I still can't believe people crying and whining because a team is playing at its best when its on the field. LOL, they went down to their 4th string RB and scored, the Defense took a TD in. Going for it on 4th, they threw a 1 yard route. A team plays hard and makes plays and people cry foul...Now if the Patriots go head hunting and take out people for scoring on them, then you will cry foul. I don't hear anyone complaining with the losing team keeps their starters in and try to score and make plays...if the other team is going hard, trying to score, trying to stop you, then you keep your players in and keep trying to score and make plays.Stop the crying already... III

^^ Well said. Let the men play. They want to play.
11/19/2007 11:37:46 AM
Last I checked these guys are pros and get paid millions of dollars to play this game.Leave the "running up the score" shit to college, etc. and people who need their feelings protected. Pros do not.Besides, which is more insulting? Keeping in the 1st string offense and playing like the score is 0-0, or putting in your entire 3rd string and running up the middle and punting every time.I'd prefer the former if it were me, and most men would too.[Edited on November 19, 2007 at 1:02 PM. i think a good late hit would be a nice wake up call-> i do think that running up the score is valid here, since its a good team. the only thing that running up the score really does is make the record books, and these guys are getting paid to play.[Edited on November 19, 2007 at 1:06 PM.
