Colbert/Putin is a possible Pres/VP ticket. Also Colbert/Colbert and I think Colbert/Huckabee.I'd vote for Putin. The man is much, much smarter than almost any American politicians currently in office.
10/23/2007 1:51:09 AM
If you were so smart, you'd figure out how to use these online flight websites, book a one way trip to Moscow and fucking rot.
10/23/2007 9:01:39 AM
^The Cold War ended a while back. Hostility towards Russia isn't the "cool" thing to do nowadays.

How's he doing in South Carolina?
10/29/2007 2:23:09 PM
god i hope he makes it far.
10/29/2007 2:25:30 PM
if he's only running in SC, then that's about as "far" as he can make it. There's virtually no chance of him getting significant write-in votes in other states.
10/29/2007 2:31:23 PM
it may be too latebuti just need to sayholy fuck i am out of the loopto think that someone realistically considered that this isnt/wasnt a farce from the getgo?alsohow do you have respect for Colbert and Stewart? Sure they're hilarious and masters of political satirebut i meanrilly?respect?
10/29/2007 2:42:57 PM
10/29/2007 3:01:29 PM
Have you seen them out of character?Jon Stewart on Crossfire was much different than on his show.and Stephen Colbert on NPR was eloquent as hell, too.
10/29/2007 3:03:58 PM
John Stewart has fallen off. He's taken himself too seriously ever since the poll came out saying that a large portion of young people get their news from shows like his.
10/29/2007 3:24:18 PM
his name is jonand saying he's not funny any more and takes himself too seriously is probably now more cliche than saying bush is dumb
10/29/2007 4:16:12 PM
^good thing i was saying he wasn't funny after my first time watching himcolbert's pretty funny though
10/29/2007 7:42:46 PM
^^^ He gets attacked by the right for taking things out of context, even though that's part of his job. I think him taking him self too seriously is because he's getting a little tired of that game.
10/29/2007 7:44:33 PM
^^^ In that case instead of "cliche" maybe you should call it "popular opinion".
10/29/2007 8:06:45 PM
i laugh out loud every time i watch the daily show. it's a variety show. it doesn't depend solely on jon stewart being the funny man. the correspondents, gags, mock stories and interviews are hilarious and can carry the show. it's amazing to me that whenever colbert or the daily show gets mentioned somewhere, the first thing out of someone's mouth is "jon stewart isn't funny and takes himself to seriously"whatever the fuck that means, anyway
10/29/2007 9:09:56 PM
Regardless of how serious he takes himself or not, the show is barely funny these days.I just don't laugh when I know a retarded face/voice is coming as "filler" for some statement he just made about Bush...etc.And the gags and other folks he have aren't that great either.
10/29/2007 9:12:17 PM
I DISAGREE!!!1
10/29/2007 9:13:22 PM
I chuckle occasionally, but I typically just watch the first 5 minutes or so, and delete it from the DVR and go right to Colbert.
10/29/2007 9:15:39 PM
yes, but then you are also better than life itself. Must be hard knowing you are so far above everything else.I still think the show is funny on the occasion I get to see it. I don't profess to be a comedic genius, but it makes me laugh. So do many other things. Perhaps I just enjoy life?
10/30/2007 12:49:33 AM
Wow, talk about a baseless attack. I'm glad you know me so well. Here, I can do it too. I hope that car you bought lands you the pussy that you couldn't land on your own. I love you fags have pages of threads crying about me, like your somehow above it. Yet, you just can't resist getting your shots in. Fucking hypocrites.

According to Tim Russert on "Meet the Press", a Public Opinion Strategies Poll from October 18-21 for the South Carolina Democratic primary:Hillary Clinton-40%Barack Obama-19%John Edwards-12%Joe Biden-2.7%Stephen Colbert-2.3%Bill Richardson-2.1%Dennis Kucinich-2.1%Mike Gravel-less than 1%Chris Dodd-0%I wonder if I should laugh or cry for Biden, Richardson, Kucinich, and Dodd. http://www.comedycentral.com/motherload/player.jhtml?ml_video=123817&ml_collection=&ml_gateway=&ml_gateway_id=&ml_comedian=&ml_runtime=&ml_context=show&ml_origin_url=/shows/the_colbert_report/videos/most_recent/index.jhtml&ml_playlist=&lnk=&is_large=trueAnd Colbert's presidential campaign is sponsored by Nacho Cheese Doritos.
10/30/2007 7:26:57 PM
Man I could go for some Doritos right now.
10/30/2007 9:31:11 PM
It's really a sad commentary that Colbert is polling higher than someone with Richardson's experience.
10/30/2007 9:55:27 PM
well its not exactly a highly guarded secret that the political discourse in this country has ascended to unheard of levels of absurdity in the last 6 years. so, it can't really be much of a surprise that a satirist is actually drawing noticeable percentages, can it? i don't think so[Edited on October 30, 2007 at 10:19 PM. If Colbert started "campaigning" really hardcore in South Carolina. If he actually wins at South Carolina.....I will cry/laugh/sigh so hard.
10/31/2007 5:40:35 AM
Colbert showed a picture tonight of him sending a notorized check for $2500 to the South Carolina Democratic Party. He then told Jimmy to show a picture of him writing a check to the South Carolina Republican Party for $35000. Which then came up "Photo Not Available". He then said he won't be running on the Republican primary cause "he paid less for his black market liver".So it's just the Democratic primary for him.
