our jobsite trailer at WM Cary is like maybe 100 yards from the firei was gonna go down there today, good thing i put it off till after lunchour superintendent said you could feel the heat from the trailer. there were firemen/officials walking all over the site taking temperature & (i'm assuming) gas/air quality readings. WM Cary actually had to move some people out of that side of the building, and parts of the Women's Center, b/c they could feel the heat through the windows

I was pissed at the traffic. I had to go from Tryon to Cary Pkwy to 1 to get back on 64 to come home today. Traffic was horrendous. I certainly hope that everyone was ok.

you have to weigh risk vs. gain. The water was necessary to prevent further damage to the surrounding area from radiant heat, including power lines. And from causing other issues from a diesel tank leak (fire) that is worse for the environment. LNG burns very clean, little if any environmental issues, diesel on the other hand is nasty for the environment. That and Cary has been on year round water restrictions for a while now, and really isn't in as big of a crunch as the surrounding areas that refused to take actions earlier. a half million gallons in the grand scheme isn't that much.
