I'm a member there and I like it. However, once I started going to the one on Millbrook, I don't like the one on western anymore. Everything at Millbrook is brand new. Overall, for $10 a month with no contract you can't beat it... and, no, there's not a catch.

Is the one on Millbrook located at the intersection of Atlantic Ave. & Millbrook Rd. near Char-Grill?

^ Thats why I quit going outside. I just never leave my house because I might see a gay person if I leave.

Glad to hear that man. Lemme know if you need any supplies.

I go to PF on Western, never any problems if you go at 7am on the weekends like I do Of course its empty when I go tooNot the best gym, but if you getting started in all of it its not bad, but there is not much room sometimes you do have to wait to use certain machineseh worth $10/month I would say. Just got to know when to go. Right at 5-6pm M-Th its packed of course, Friday night not so much and weekends not at all. During the day is nothing either.

I go there, it's a nice gym if all you need are some cardio machines and the weight machines... few frills (just the aforementioned tanning booths, and some nice/clean shower areas)

^ The coffee was too hot, it was a couple degrees off boiling.

the one in greensboro has "judgment" misspelled on just about every piece of signage in the place. i found that somewhat humorous

Different gyms cater to different types of people and trainees. Just go to the one you like. PF is perfect for the casual/amateur trainee and lifter, or someone who just wants to work out in a casual atmosphere. They make it very clear that they aren't for the bodybuilding type or the serious trainee. There are other gyms that cater to that type of thing.[Edited on September 23, 2007 at 3:19 PM. I want to go and get a free day pass and then load up some heavy deadlifts and on the very first set drop the weight AND gruntstupid fuckers
9/23/2007 7:54:07 PM
^ don't forget to call your friends and tell them what you did...
9/24/2007 4:29:36 PM
^^ Everybody would just laugh at you for getting your feelings hurt by a gym you don't even attend. Then you'd walk out awkwardly. Go for it brah!~
9/24/2007 4:58:25 PM
If you are going to do this, record a video of this. Actually, do some highpulls, snatches, or clean and jerks, and then drop the bar--more dramatic.

I totally agree. If you can go when there is nobody there, or when its not jam packed, for $10/month its great. You figure you use 5 or more machines every time you go, and you would spend probably $5000+ on this equipment at home- which would probably end up being coat hangers after a while.Thats 500 months of membership, or 41 years worth of membership. And of course you don't pay to maintain the equipment. Just saying its a good deal- of course its not for everyone. If you are severely overweight and/or need personal attention, this is NOT the kind of place to go to. Pretty much you are on your own, they do have once a month progress things they can look at, but mostly stuff you can check yourself.

I went 6 days a week when I had a membership and lived close. I used to go either in the evenings after work (8-9ish) or in the early AM before work (5 AM or so) and rarely had any problems with it being too busy or inadequate for my needs. I did deadlifts, cleans, and clean and jerks there with no issue.

how do yall dead lift or jerk, the only things they have at the one in greensboro are smith machines (bar attached to supports)
9/26/2007 4:50:42 PM
they have 2 squat racks at the one on Western, and you only need a bar to do those lifts. You can snatch a bar off of a bench if you wanted to.

clinging and then jerking is something completely different, but equally fun. naw' mean.
