In order for animals in the wild to be treated ethically, PETA must separate all carnivores from their natural prey, until they learn to respect all animal life and take up a diet based mainly around nuts and soy proteins. PETA will not rest until this inhumane "Food chain" that has plagued our planet for billions of years has been destroyed!

I'm not going to argue the previous points about obesity but i'd like to throw a few more thing sinto the mix-As of a few years ago (I want to say 2003), Americans were the country where the average person worked more hours per week than any other first-world country. including the japanese. Most of our food has high fructose corn syrup and other crap in it that other developed nations find appalling. Our cities for the most part are not designed where someone can really walk or bike anywhere, a lot of europe is.A larger portion of our work force gets no lunch break (breaks come at odd hours depending on where you work or what you do, short shifts or other things mean often an employer is not obligated to give more than 15 minutes break if one at all) or a very short one, causing people to rush and just get whatever they can because they neither get presented with the opportunity to brown bag anything better than a sandwich or enough time to go home for lunch. So we have to work longer, have less opportunity for day-to day exercise, and shove all sorts of unecissary sugar and crap into most of our food. Is it *really* any fucking wonder that somehow we cant seem to get most of the country to eat right and exercise in such a society? No, in most cases I'm not saying that it shifts the blame away from the individual really, but america as a society sure as hell makes it more difficult.[Edited on July 3, 2007 at 11:13 PM. ^ As bad as what you said sounds, it doesn't take away from the fact that 45 million Americans don't have health coverage of any kind at all, and the majority of those that do get fucked in the ass by their health insurance companies, which is what Michael Moore's new movie is about.
