^ You can lie to manipulate anything. That's not unique to our medical/social/political system.[Edited on May 30, 2007 at 3:04 PM. Reason : ]

what am I lying about? I think you grossly over estimate your importance if you think I would spend time to make up a story to try to influence someone on a fucking message board.Im sure my experiences, you know, working and dealing with medicaid might give others some insight who otherwise didnt know what all it does indeed cover. And the thought that the poor do not have healthcare is a joke, they do. Its a statement to drum up sympathy for people who simply dont know the truth. I dont try to influence anyones opinion on here, I simply try to give people insight on what I see, so they can better form thier own opinion. On fridays, our office deals with 67% of our patients being on medicaid. I think Ive dealt with it enough to form a valid opinion on it. Sure it helps alot of people who are thankful for it, but what Im seeing is more and more of the entitlement society. You have a good day moron

I could be wrong, but I interpreted what he said as referring to the recipients of the medicaid system. By "divorcing," the couple you refer to get more free stuff.

no, my pretester is considering divorcing, literally, her husband but still living together. Medicaid doesnt care if you live with someone, but if you have a spouse they consider both incomes to determine eligibility. He makes too much so if she quit working they would still not be eligible for WIC, Caid, etc. So if she becomes a single mother of two, with no income..all of those doors now open. I dont really think she will do it, but its sad that its set up to encourage people to be less productive. She says that they cant live off his income alone, but they are very concerned with the cost of childcare if/when she would come back to work. I dont understand how we can pay for non-workers to have childcare, but then offer NO assistance and actually encourage people to not to the right things.

thanks for clarifiying umbrella. I apologize to you moron, I thought you were saying I was lying about my coworker. I still feel strongly that we shouldnt penalize people for doing the right things, and incentives not to.
