16:48 in high school. since then i can't break crap. I just run races randomly like 8k's and try to run 7 minute miles. Last race 8k. 35:00

yeah, any values that are not in the same units (distance=mi, time=min, pace=min/mi, etc) should not be plotted on the same y-axis. To separate one of them out, doubleclick on one of the lines to open up the "Format Data Series" box and go to Axis and select Secondary Axis.

if you want to know about local races, go to http://www.runnc.com or http://www.ncroadrunners.org. those sites to a good job of listing the local races. it's mostly road running, but there are some trail runs, as well.Hell, there's a 5K this weekend and one next weekend as well.

the run for the oaks is, from what I understand, a very flat 5K course. unfortunately I'll have class on saturdays now. I am not missing the cary 10k though.

My PR was 18:02, sophomore year of high school. After that, I had too many knee, heel, and side stitch problems to run competitively.

Ran the Cooper River Bridge Run this past weekend (10k). Time was 58 min. which I was please with considering I havn't run since high school and just started training a few months ago. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys running and the new bridge is really interesting as well.

i ran against some of Alan Webb's highschool teammates my first year in college.They posted 15 minute 3 mile times in high school and ran the 5 miles in 25 minutes

^^ my sister and parents ran that one as well.that bridge is definately cool....i was down there two summers ago right after in opened.

^ Yeah the guy who won the race was from Boston 25 years old and ran the 10k in 28 minutes. That is a pace of 4:38 per mile! Pretty impressive to beat the Kenyans.
