The stuff coming out of my sinuses this morning was bloody
and I had postnasal drip going on most of yesterday. my bf is also getting sick. So, I'm loading up on fruits and veggies way more than usual, in hopes of lessening the severity

I think I'd rather just have a nasty cold than the stomach flu, which I've never had.

After my 21st, I got some of the electrolyte packets for babies for re-hydration. They're awesome...once you can keep liquids down

My mom gave this really bad cold thing to my son...my son gave it to my daughter and myself. My husband has escaped so far. It's like your throat starts out really sore. Then, you get all the wonderful mucous in your throat. After you think you're almost well, you start coughing really really bad and get tons of nasal congestion (I haven't gotten the cough, but both my kids have). Finally, after the congestion and cough start to subside just a little, you get diarrhea. After that, you keep the cough for another few days and then you're well. It's just wonderful.

that's how i felt recently, in addition to being delirious and dehydrated b/c of the stomach flu.

i jinxed myself.

i thought i was fine, went out and completed errands, came back and felt like i was dying.

I joined the club last night. On sunday night my stomach was acting all weird, but then nothing all day yesterday until I got home from work. I felt a little nauseated, nothing that bad, and then just BAM! I spent the next 7 hours on the jon with a trashcan in front of me. There for a second I really thought I was gonna die, those dry heaves are some of the most painful bitches known to mankind.

I'm still "pissin out my ass" (ha nice one) today but haven't puked. But I haven't ate anything either. Hopefully it's run its course. Beware. that shit sucks

stowaway & maverick ~ my husband and I had the EXACT same thing... came down with it on Christmas night along with 25 other people that were around on Christmas Eve. Thankfully we were back at our own home when it hit... had we been at his parents house it would have been 5 people to two bathrooms

holy crap, my brother has that (stomach virus/gastroenteritis/whatever). and i got it around this time of the year in 2004. we're debating whether or not to take him to rex, he says he's feeling better, but the fluids arent staying in him.

husband got it this week too...my daughter got an ear infection from all of the drainage...everyone is on the road to being well now, so whew!
