Look what I just found:

Quote :

7. Tim Hardaway, Miami. Not too different from the bruthas one might run into at any black gay club on a Saturday night. Opposite of Dale Davis. Not really trying to be tough. Just himself. "

What is the media's agenda behind all of this? I never even heard of this guy until ESPN was all like OMG homo player let's make a big fucking issue out of it.

well, it's been on all the news channels, every morning show. the dude is trying to sell a book.
and why wouldn't it be all over espn? how many gay athelete's from a major american sport come out of the closet every year? usually none. it's a relevant social topic and espn has every right to cover it. and honestly, i don't feel that they've overdone it like espn usually does.

From the coverage that I have seen on ESPN and heard on satellite radio, it seems to me like they are trying to push this guy's lifestyle onto the rest of us, praising those who accept him and demeaning those who do not.

So the guy wrote a book. Big deal. It doesn't make his position or lifestyle the correct one nor does it warrant the attention that it is getting, especially considering that nobody ever heard of this guy until recently.

maybe if he choosed a different title, players wouldnt be so apprehensive about having him on the team......you know, one that doesnt suggest locker-room tag-teams

whenever I hear comments like tim's i just think of that study that showed the most homophobic people were more likely to be aroused by homosexuality.
