i love this series as well, and had no idea they were making a tv show!!! sweet!! i probably couldn't decide on a favorite character, but tyrion, arya, jon, and daenerys and her dragons are up there. jaime is also kinda growing on me. i didn't want the red viper of dorne to die, and i liked the hound, too. just because they're both so badass. also... no, the guy from princess bride could not play tyrion. he's not serious/conniving/witty/scary looking enough.

I love reading about Cersei fucking up King's Landing as Queen Regent. She's such a dumbass but she thinks she's so clever. Her POV is hilarious.
