haha i love how you people disappear when you are wrong.
1/25/2007 8:39:03 PM
there are lots of college players with stats like that who don't even get draftednot to say josh wont be top of the first round, though he'll be lucky to be starting in the league in a few years
1/25/2007 8:40:33 PM
^yeah he's not getting his assists tonight...i said that on the last page that people get similar stats...it's the other things that make mcroberts stand out...his passing, ball handling, and court vision in particular for a big manpaulus may blow the game though...[Edited on January 25, 2007 at 8:47 PM. he just fucked up HARDCORE
1/25/2007 9:00:16 PM
we'll never know if it was his fault or Paulus'
1/25/2007 9:07:21 PM
^we already know, it was Paulus' fault for not coming straight to the ball and it was also McRoberts' fault for being complacent and throwing the ill advised pass. So both were at fault.......but the faggots still got lucky so it doesn't matter anymore
1/25/2007 10:24:42 PM
Josh McRoberts is a piece of shit, and a pussy. He whines a lot on the court.
1/25/2007 11:11:12 PM
his mom is hotter than your mom

Yay!Looks like Hickson, Ben, and BC are going to have a field day with Duke next year.[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 11:11 AM. Reason : ]

Not surprising. I read the John Feinstein column basically saying the coaching staff was trying to usher him out the door and his teammates hated him..
3/22/2007 11:11:41 AM
ha ha this is great. He'll get his ass kicked in pre-draft camps and will be lucky to land in round 1.[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 11:29 AM. Reason : s]

who is going to replace him?
3/22/2007 12:13:15 PM
patrick patterson, they're thinking. that's not official yet, i don't think.or kyle singler.[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 12:18 PM. Reason : ks]
3/22/2007 12:16:24 PM
not a bad decision, his stock would only go down as he would get more exposed as mediocre each year[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 12:17 PM. Reason : e]

82% NO that he will not make it in the NBA ahahhalater McBob
3/22/2007 12:36:02 PM
3/22/2007 12:51:55 PM
the same Dook guy that said that McBob was leaving last week said the rumors about Pocious leaving for Europe were even stronger. hahaha at the dookies
3/22/2007 12:53:19 PM
Plus, for fans around the ACC, he fits the Duke "goofy white guy that Maryland fans will eventually be lectured on by Gary Williams for getting too personal with the insults" role.Personally, with no inside information at all, I think Patterson ends up at UF..[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 12:56 PM. 3/22/2007 12:53:35 PM
i think maryland might actually have the ugliest team in the nation, however
3/22/2007 1:16:53 PM
^year in and year out
3/22/2007 1:18:29 PM
i think patterson will commit to duke based on all the reports after the hoop classic and having two duke commitments in the same games (king and smith), but we'll see.pocius is a good player, but he isn't getting minutes for duke...i wouldn't be surprised if he leaves. he's already behind paulus, nelson, scheyer, and mcclure and getting nolan smith will put him further back in the depth chart because of his defensive liability.
3/22/2007 1:22:49 PM
^most duke fans have little hope of landing patterson....seems most of them think he'll go to fla.you definately could be right about pocius
3/22/2007 2:15:56 PM
Big mistake not to go pro after his freshman season. He went from being a guaranteed lottery pick (prob top 5-6) to a borderline first rounder (prob 20-25)Tough decision this year, the draft is remarkably deep but he didn't want to get exposed even moreso than he's already been
3/22/2007 3:06:58 PM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NElaIEymBb4Someone please embed this! He'll be in the development league in a year or two.

Seth Davis from CBS just said if McRoberts can learn to shoot from 15 ft. he'll be an all-star in the NBA. Seth, you have a tiny penis, you think you're so cool with your jew-fro.[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 4:48 PM. Reason : seth]

im well aware of the breakfast with the coach k and i still say he is a strong florida lean. tubby leaving uk seems to eliminate them. he was supposed to trim his list to 3 this week. be interesting to see what happens...[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 5:46 PM. Reason : in]

3/22/2007 5:45:58 PM
he's a great defender/passer but the only way he can score on offense is an alley oop. this is a complete joke. what a waste of two years. now we would have been better off not recruiting him at all. ^battier?this whole thing will work out for the better if patterson comes its ALL over. I know he was swaying to florida but that was because mcroberts was here while horford and noaa are leaving florida. Now the tables are even.
3/22/2007 6:09:29 PM
nevermind, I was thinking of boozerboozer.'s placement in the draft suffered because of duke. Had he been left to play his natural position he would have been a first rounder instead of a 2nd rounder who was forced to lose all the weight that K made him put on because K wanted to play him out of position.[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 6:17 PM. Reason : .]
3/22/2007 6:12:11 PM
^you're mixed up and incorrect.taylor king is not a power forward. he's a 6'8" wing similar to dunleavy with much better range. singler and patterson (if he comes to duke) will handle the post duties.with how he closed the season and showed his "character"...i no longer believe mcroberts will be a top 10 pick...he was too whiny despite his potential in the nba.[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 7:05 PM. Reason : .]
3/22/2007 7:04:00 PM
I think mcroberts' game will translate pretty good to the pros, he'll be a solid role player like he is now which should rule out lottery, I don't see him being a better pro than reyshaun terry even though he'll be drafted way ahead
3/22/2007 8:03:42 PM
^you actually think terry stands a chance of getting drafted? i don't.mcroberts is a risk...i think i'd draft him and make him a point guard just to cause match up problems and tell him if he shoots from more than 8 feet away from the goal...he's going to the nbdl. dribble, pass, cause match up problems... based on his potential i really thought he would develop throughout the season, but it didn't happen...he'd have 2 bad games and 1 good one...i'd be afraid to risk a lottery pick on him, but someone will i'm sure. hopefully he does well and matures...[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 8:06 PM. if you read the thread...that statement was midseason and retracted after his lack of progress.taylor king is NOT a pf and hardly ever plays in the post. the game i saw he had 32 and hit 7 threes...i believe he had one dunk out of those points...
3/23/2007 12:17:19 PM
Battier isn't/wasn't a post player either.
3/23/2007 12:22:44 PM
he was a very small forward iirc
