I like the bare carbon on the upper element of Honda's front wing. I've always thought it'd be cool to make an entire car out of bare carbon, even going as far as to weave the sponsor's logo's into the carbon. I figure you could probably increase strength this way since the loss of paint weight would translate into extra carbon. I like the black paint though.

Do the side pods on the Honda look like they tapper down faster than those on other cars? I can't decide if they do or if it's just an illusion from the paint.

well there is a ps3 game coming out that looks awesome

but

if anybody gets the game called rfactor, its basically a mod-based game. Buy one license then install it as many times as you want, and there are tons of quality f1 tracks and mods. It works well. I am driving the 2006 spec renault in the game at various tracks. Of course you can do other series cars as well. and oval, and rally. Yup you can put an f1 car on a 1/2 mile oval too and haul ass!

Honda may have green as a main color on their machine for 2 reasons.
1. They may have BP for a sponsor
2. They wanna show that they work on environmental problems.

But..... green color would be DAMN UGLY!!!!!

google might be involved as a main sponsor on the honda, but then again they still have BP as a sponsor, and they'll get a lot of press for the "going green" thing.

i'm a little concerned with scott, and the SA guys, because they really haven't had much testing in the car. Tonio got priority with early testing for STR when they only had one chassis but it was great to see scott faster than tonio in back to back testing a week or so ago. I think STR is going to end up with better results than RBR this season.

Too bad about Massa's gearbox... I think he had a legitimate shot at pole, but I'm happy for Raikkonen... First time a driver has been on pole on his first race with a new team in 51 years (Last driver to do it was Fangio with Ferrari).

Lewis Hamilton did extremely well. It's early but I think we will see great things from him in the future.

BMW may actually have a shot at the title but it'll be very tough to beat Ferrari and McLaren.

What sucked was that they didn't show/broadcast Raikkonen racing much. The main sponsour for Australia GP was ING, so main focus seemed to be Renault all the time!

Raikkonen finally seems happy with his machine.

^Don't say that just yet, the Ferrari gearbox appears to be very fragile. Congrats to Raikkonen!

Also, my applause goes out to Lewis Hamilton. Very very nice debut race. Although I doubt he would have made the podium if Massa didn't have trouble in Q3. But I bet this won't be the last time we'll see him up there this year.

Does anyone know why the top of Kimi's car was yellow and Massa's was red? Last I heard Kimi was the #1 driver. Certainly this hasn't changed, has it?

massa is the #1 driver, more experience with the team. His car number is 5, kimi is 6. next year may be different but we'll just have to wait and see how this season plays out.
