I haven't heard great things about his linear algebra class, but I loved his number theory class.

I'd usually go by his office a few days before the homework was due and he'd help me work through some things. Just be sure you don't get lost too early, because he builds on things. If there was stuff you didn't understand from the first homework you shouldn't just forget about it, you should go by and make sure you get 100% of it or else you'll have a ton of trouble later. There were plenty of times he'd start talking and he'd get over my head but you just have to ask him to stop and break things down until you can comprehend then. Don't just smile and nod if it isn't making sense.

thanks, it probably doesnt help that since he has assigned the homework, one of his assistants has been teaching the class for the last week and 1/2

cockshutt was fun for 214, the news paper class...but 215 (i think its this way, was harder to stay with) he is funny as hell.... very dry

i disagree with huggard tho... he rambles about his wives too much for me (but the material was quite useful)

goodwin for 433... this guy knows his stuff and everyone involved in it... he could def be the ag cabinet member someday
