Ok, I stopped reading because everyone was trying to talk you out of it. But here's my two cents:Shallow or not, I'm all in favor of it. If you are unhappy with yourself, do what you want to fix it. Obviously, I'd go with exercise first, but that doesn't help boobs or nose. I'll see if I can't find some business cards (or websites) for two I know and like. But to sum it up for you... no matter what you get done... it's gonna hurt like nothing else.Word-of-Mouth:-My cousin got boobs for Christmas last year (hey, she got what she asked for)... she couldn't move for days because she felt like she was hit in the chest by a Mac truck. -My friend had hers done at Cummings (google 'em... they're pretty much the only place people in Eastern NC go to... I think they're based in Kinston). She's thrilled with hers, but about 2 months after she still isn't very comfortable sleeping on her stomach.-Another friend had her boobs done here in Cary and was very thrilled with her doctor... I'll try and find the card if you're trying to keep it local.-I went to Puente (spelling?) in North Raleigh off of Falls or Six Forks. He's one of the top in the area but my mom though he was kind of a tool (I guess it comes with the job). She worked in plastics for years... she can spot a fake or touch up a mile away. (I did not have my boobs or anything major done though... not yet at least.)[Edited on December 20, 2006 at 9:59 PM. Reason : more]

mostly i'm just a little unhappy with the excess skin. it's hereditary. my brothers have one and so does my dad, except they were never as big as me so it's not as bad. i am just thinking about boobs, but i'm not totally sure about them. i still work out and stuff so i've hit my brick wall. i am going to try to push up the workload, but i don't think it will be successfull in getting rid of my pootch. i mean, i would just like the flat stomach that doesn't run in my family.

i'm going to have to do it eventually or i'll look like a giant nutsac

i think those people who go crazy with plastic surgery all start out thinking that it will be "just a little" or "just one thing to change"I have a huge nose but fuck it, i'm not gonna pull an Ashlee Simpson.

I'm not trying to talk you into it, or out of it, but here are some things to consider:Your skin will gradually tighten up on its own. It might not ever be perfect, but it will improve. I gained 70 pounds almost entirely in my stomach with a twin pregnancy (a pretty common amount to gain, actually), and my stomach skin, which initially was a catastrophe after losing 50 pounds in 2 weeks, has improved dramatically. It did take a couple of years.A tummy tuck is MAJOR abdominal surgery. I don't know if you've had major abdominal surgeries (I've had 4 of them), but they are extremely painful during recovery. Tummy tucks also leave an extremely large scar, and how much that scar fades depends upon heredity more than anything. Finally, if you are planning to have children, you might as well save the tummy money for now and wait until after you've had all your babies. A pregnancy will destroy the tummy tuck and it would be better to have that extra skin there when your stomach starts streching out. That is what you should be told if you go for a consultation. They might be able to do a little lipo and flatten out the appearance of your belly, and that is not such a big deal as a tummy tuck.

based on the one pic you have in your gallery, you really do not need any plastic surgery
12/23/2006 10:00:29 PM
The only plastic surgery that I have had done is facial, but it was all done due to congential deformities due to a genetic condition. As someone who has had plastic surgery, I am all for it. Sometimes there are flaws or anomalies that a person just cannot get over or move past and it can dramatically impact the way that you view yourself. As long as you aren't picking apart yourself looking for multple things that are wrong with your appearance, I don't think that there is anything wrong with changing one or two things that really bother you.All of my work was done by Dr. Howard Dawkins in Greenville, NC and I highly recommend him.

Btw, if you are shallow enough to need this surgery, by all means, go for it. Waste your money on this bullshit. Your life is empty as it is, might as well try to buy something to fill it up with.

i know a good doctor in North Raleigh if you're interested. i had a friend who had lipo a few years back.....she loved the results but it literally took 6 months for the swelling to go completely down and really see the results. so i would consider keeping that in mind. i asked my friend if she would consider having more and she said no, she would wait a long time again since the pain afterwards (being really sore) was enough to hold off on more. best of luck to you in whatever you decide to do. (let me know if you want to talk about it more. i have a lot of friends/family who have had a lot of work done before).[Edited on December 25, 2006 at 7:44 PM. Reason : eidt]

breast implants only last approximately 10 years. So if you get them you have to go through major surgery every ten years to replace them, which I do not think is worth it.

My mom has had them for 22 years..... They are just fine, and dont need to be replaced Im soooooooo glad the titty-fairy came, I would not want to have to pay for boobs
