I wonder how many Heat fans were like "NO! Don't get rid of Odom and others! For Shaq? That washed up fool? He's done! We'll never win a championship!"
12/11/2006 5:05:26 PM
are we even seriously considering thisI mean are the Bobcats even a player?or is this just TWW talk?i really wish AI would come here
12/11/2006 5:08:18 PM
well they are definitely a player, but the pessimistic side of me that knows BB's style refuses to believe anything will come of this.
12/11/2006 5:17:48 PM

12/11/2006 10:29:52 PM
the Bobcats are like 17 million under the capand iverson is making about 14 millionwe dont have to worry about getting him and going over our cap and it reduced the lux. tax philly has to pay for being over
12/11/2006 10:31:30 PM
start calling up bobcats peoples!!1!
12/11/2006 10:45:14 PM
looks like its not gonna happenhttp://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/16217601.htm
12/12/2006 2:10:44 AM
i knew something like that would happen
12/12/2006 2:35:26 AM
I would expect Iverson to want to go to a team where he can win a ring in the next year or two and not have to wait til he's retirement age. That's why teams like the Bobcats are out.
12/12/2006 3:05:29 AM
i wanted him just to see his intro on the news 14 telecast
12/12/2006 3:32:40 AM

12/12/2006 4:17:15 AM
thats some NC State shit right there.
12/12/2006 8:46:50 AM
fuck him for not wanting to come here
12/12/2006 10:53:45 AM
I wouldnt want to play for charlotte either. THey are a fucking joke.
12/12/2006 10:59:54 AM
12/12/2006 11:13:11 AM
why would the kings want to trade mike bibby for iverson? Geoff Petrie needs to choke-hold the Maloofs and they need to let him do his job, because I am certain that he would not want to make this deal, but the Maloofs probably want to.
12/12/2006 11:45:44 AM
12/12/2006 11:57:03 AM
^right. but the kings would be better off finding a big man than iverson. if iverson comes around, kevin martin's numbers drop, and the win-loss column still hovers around .500. i just don't think it's a good deal
12/12/2006 11:58:34 AM
i think iverson could make about any team better...granted if he went to miami or somewhere there could be some conflicts with d wade...but i would certainly trade bibby for AI...and yes the Kings definitely need a big man...hell before B Miller came back from injury they had friggin 6'9" shareef abdur rahim playing center...i'd still trade bibby for AI though
12/12/2006 12:01:49 PM
good lord who wouldnt trade bibby for iverson?Iverson could jumpstart that team. He's a better passer and scorer than Bibby. And he's a SHITLOAD quicker than Bibby.
12/12/2006 1:48:15 PM
12/12/2006 2:24:26 PM
allen iverson will never win a championshipmark my words
12/12/2006 2:41:53 PM
^^ theres no fucking way Philly would do that. They want young talent and expiring salaries not garbage...^ way to go out on a limb... pick a player at the end of his career thats on an awful team and say he wont win a championship... he won an NBA finals game with a bad team. The guy is a great basketball player. 6'0 guys cant just will themselves a championship they have to have a lot of help. Jason Kidd never won a championship, was he not good enough either? If the Nets had done the Tony Parker for J.Kidd deal that the Spurs pushed for so hard he would have...
12/12/2006 2:50:04 PM
if we got iverson and a new coach right now, i think the bobcats would be able to contend for a playoff spot this season.
12/12/2006 2:51:11 PM
he doesn't want to go to charlottehave you read the front page of http://www.espn.com
12/12/2006 3:20:22 PM
yea, everybody should know that by now, since i posted an article about it half a page up.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 3:21 PM. Reason : .]

nm[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 3:22 PM. Reason : nm]
12/12/2006 3:21:58 PM
^^ then why are you still playing with the idea of him coming to charlotteit isnt going to happen.
12/12/2006 3:27:45 PM
because its sports talk.also, i was addressing iverson's concerns about playing for the bobcats. he wants to play for a contender, but if we had him and a coach, i feel we would be a contender. i hope this clears things up for you.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 3:33 PM. Reason : .]
12/12/2006 3:30:44 PM
you are dillusional if you think the bobcats would be a contender with iversonthey might contend to get themselves out of last place in the league but thats about it[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 3:34 PM. Reason : ]
12/12/2006 3:34:27 PM
a contender for the playoffs. can you look at the east and really think the top 8 teams are so clear cut that the bobcats with iverson and a new coach COULDNT make it? if so, i'm afraid you're dillusional.
12/12/2006 3:35:47 PM
they are tied for last place in the league jack assget a grip on realityit would take a miracle and last time i checked iverson isn't able to perform those
12/12/2006 3:38:22 PM
the conference is horrible...who cares what place they are in when they're only 4 games out of the 8th spot with 62 games left to play.a 4 game comeback over 62 games is hardly a miracle.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 3:41 PM. Reason : .]
12/12/2006 3:40:50 PM
want to bet on it?
12/12/2006 3:42:15 PM
i dont think we can bet on a hypothetic situation, but i feel pretty confident that this team with a go-to scorer and a coach who knows what he's doing could get at least the 8th seed this season.unfortunately, as you pointed out, not only will iverson not come to charlotte, but bickerstaff wouldnt step down mid-season.
12/12/2006 3:44:00 PM
Easily could be in contention for a playoff spot with Iverson. A capable point guard and power in the post to go along with his scoring? How could they not be in contention in the shitty east. I still think this team is set up perfectly for him, just wish he'd see it.
12/12/2006 4:33:37 PM
You're nuts if you dont think we'd likely be a playoff team with Allen Iverson. He's one the elite scorers in the game and we've actually got a pretty good supporting cast. The only thing we really lack is a scorer which is exactly what AI brings to the table.
12/12/2006 4:38:19 PM
12/12/2006 4:38:25 PM
supposedly, now the Kings don't want to trade for AI.why hasn't this been mentioned anywhere yet? Go ahead and ship his ass to Portland.Trade one of their 1strounders (roy, more likely aldridge or webster) and some other scrub player or two with an expriring contract. Deal done. Iverson would fit in well with the Blazers.
12/12/2006 6:21:30 PM
Except that the community of Portland pretty much gave up on the basketball team during those Jailblazer days.
12/12/2006 6:29:55 PM
actually the blazers definitely have the young talent and the expiring contracts to get it done im surprised i havent heard much about them.I doubt they want to move Roy or Aldridge but i could definitely see them going with Webster and an expiring deal. maybe theyd need to give a 1st rounder too. That would be a pretty good deal for them in my estimation.Jack/Iverson/Roy/Randolph/Aldridge thats a very competitive lineup next season
12/12/2006 7:21:56 PM
^And Juan Dixon for a 6th man.
