Bitch, Tom O'Brien put BC on the map. GROW???...BC was basically peaking while TOB was there. TOB didn't let you down, your inferior facilities and lackluster fan base let you down.

who knows, i think he is better than what we had. But I dont think he is going to take us to the next level. BC, on the other hand, is fucked now because they cant afford a good coach. They got lucky with o'brien

Is this some kind of bizzaro Boston you're living in? Because I swear the pending signing of a schmuch like JD Drew was front page news where the BC coaching search was buried deep in the sports pages..

BCU will NEVER have Boston behind it...

No, Boston wants greatness so they won't show support until greatness is showing. Having a coach like TOB who couldn't do great things with the great team we had this year is what loses the support. The entire city was behind BC up until the 2nd loss.

that's why it takes a 9-3 record for BC to go to the same bowl that NCSU gets for a 6-5 record.

The BC fan base sucks and bowl selection committees know it.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING

BC is a wannabe Notre Dame with half-ass facilities, a small endowment, small alumni base, and little resources compared to a large state school.

BC has Doug Flutie. Milk the past all you want.

Sounds like your shmuck fans are worse than the Miami fans I am around constantly.

Face it. The talent BC has was mediocre and TOB manages to win games with marginal talent by developing players and instilling discipline.

Have you ever heard of a quarterback "not losing the game"? Well its kind of like that, but with a coach.

My family is from there and I lived in New England for 17 years growing up. Trust me, you're 100% correct. NOBODY cares about BCU. Nobody. Hell, half their alumni could care less even. It's a good school in a great area but outside of hockey they have shit for support...

I'm a UConn fan obviously too and I've gone to games in Conte Forum when BCU was good and it would be literally 70% UConn fans...

So why were the Red Sox supported for like 100 years before 2004???

The Celtics have sucked ass since the late 1980s.

Quit making shit up. BC blows and nobody in Boston gives two shits.

All I know is that if the tables turn, and we'll be able to see directly the fanbase comparisons.

If TOB has one 9 win season and contends for the ACC here, we'll have a fucking parade.

When BCU has a 3 win season, still no one will care.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2701480

Quote :
"Green Bay offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski will be named head coach at Boston College, sources with the Packers and Boston College told ESPN's Joe Schad on Monday.

Jagodzinski is expected to be introduced at a news conference on Wednesday, The Associated Press reported.

Athletic director Gene DeFilippo did not return a call from AP seeking comment. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Monday he wouldn't comment on the situation, and a Packers spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Jagodzinski.

"Frankly, I'm not comfortable talking about what will or what could. That's not my place," McCarthy told the Packers media in Green Bay. "Like I've said before, the Green Bay Packers organization fully supports him. I think he'd be a strong candidate, so whatever works out, we'll see what happens."

Jagodzinski was the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at BC in 1997-98, when the Eagles averaged more than 400 yards per game and allowed the fewest sacks in the Big East. A Wisconsin native, he coached the Packers tight ends for five years before spending two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and then rejoining Green Bay this year for his first stint as an NFL coordinator.

He would replace Tom O'Brien, who left for North Carolina State after compiling a 75-45 record in 10 years with the Eagles. O'Brien led BC to eight consecutive bowl games and has won six in a row -- the longest such streak in the nation.

Jagodzinski confirmed last week that he had a "very, very positive interview" with BC officials.

"BC is a real prestigious place and that's about it," he told the Green Bay media. "That's all I'm going to talk about that."

Among the others considered for the job were: Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks coach Mark Whipple, New York Giants QB coach Kevin Gilbride and current BC defensive coordinator Frank Spaziani, who will coach the Eagles in the Meineke Bowl against Navy in Charlotte, N.C., on Dec. 30.

McCarthy said at Lambeau Field on Monday that Jagodzinski was in the building and had been all day. Asked if he would be in Green Bay all week, McCarthy said, "You guys are killing me. I'm not going to get into that. It's not my place to talk about it. Good question, though, I like the angle."

Jagodzinski's coaching style is straight out of the blue-collar Milwaukee suburb of West Allis, Wis., where he grew up. When one of his players makes a mistake in practice, he can expect to hear about it -- and, more than likely, he'll hear about it in front of his teammates, rather than behind closed doors.

Jagodzinski, who was the offensive line coach in Atlanta last year, was brought to Green Bay to install a zone-blocking running scheme similar to the one used by the Falcons and Denver Broncos. McCarthy, a former offensive coordinator with the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers, calls his own offensive plays during games and spends most of his time with the offense in practice.
