Hodge is the most efficient player in the D-League

I get the feeling that isn't accurate (his season stats are still fucked up on their site).

If you look at the game-by-game stats, though, he's doing pretty well. Definitely racking up the assists lately.

What do you think your FG% would be like if you were shot in the leg four times?

You would think they would bring him up for the next 10 games or so, considering they are like 4 players shorthanded.

Saw this on Inside Carolina:

Quote :
"From the Rocky Mountain Review:

"Short jumpers

• The Nuggets figure to dial up Atlanta and Charlotte, teams with ample salary-cap room, by the Feb. 22 trade deadline. The Nuggets, nearly $3 million over the luxury tax threshold, would like to dump salary to avoid paying at least some of the dollar-for-dollar tax. The Nuggets could offer draft picks and cash. If the Nuggets could unload Julius Hodge, making $1.23 million, it would save $1.23 million in tax.""

If Hodge goes to the Bobcats, I'll actually show up at that weird-ass arena for a game.

He still probably wouldn't get much PT, but it would still make me happy.

Bobcats? Yeah, I guess playing second fiddle to UNC players again is better than what he's doing now.

I'd be SO stoked if he was on the bobcats. I also don't think their arena is weird like that other dude said. It actually is really nice.

pisses me off that something like that had to happen to a genuinely good person like hodge, instead of some thug wannabe like chris paul or rashad mccants

^^Wow, you just can't let that go. That was years ago.

Anyway, I still think Hodge can be a productive 2 or 3 in the NBA. He just needs to bust his ass on the practice court, and show Karl he can play in his uptempo offense. All bias aside, he can be a great player in Denver.

For example, Kevin Martin was drafted in the first round by Sacramento. He didn't play much under Rick Adelman, and he was even left off the playoff roster his rookie season. So, he worked hard on his game, made the playoff roster last year, helped beat the S.A. Spurs in Game 3 with his last second layup, and now, he's probably going to be NBA's Most Improved Player this year.

There is still hope for J-Hodge. He can still be great.

That seems like a real smart coaching move. Lets bring a guy up for his first NBA start and have him guard Kobe...

Quote :
"HODGE STARTING? Four days ago, Julius Hodge was in the NBA Development League. Tonight, he might be in the Nuggets' starting lineup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Seeking more size at the point, coach George Karl said he is contemplating starting the 6-foot-7 Hodge alongside Iverson, who could slide over to shooting guard.

Yakhouba Diawara has started the past seven games at shooting guard.

Hodge averaged 12.1 points, 6.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds in a nine-game rehabilitation assignment with the Colorado 14ers of the NBADL.

He played 1 minute against Philadelphia, marking his first appearance in an NBA game since being shot four times in the legs and hip while driving on Interstate 76 on April 8.

Karl said he might put Hodge on Lakers guard Kobe Bryant as he searches for a defensive spark that might help the Nuggets end a three-game losing streak.

"There's a little wildness there that's crazy that I'd want on the court," Karl said. "We'll see what happens."

Haha, I was thinking the same thing.

Hopefully it will be like "Wow, this first time starter held Kobe to 16 points, where did he come from?"

But more likely it will be "Kobe drops 50 on some n00b making his first start, what the hell were they thinking?"
