#1

#2 by a long shot, with a few changes. Easiest to navigate, clean design, and probably as important, easiest to port to all the colleges for consistency. 1 looks like a Fox News broadcast, and is way too busy.3 I could live with, but would prefer #2.For god's sake, please don't try to emulate http://www.ohio.edu/

All I can really say is that I don't like #3. I was never a fan of the random image squares to fill empty space idea. It's funny you say the administration is going for #3 because while I was there the administration always loved the random image square motif.#2 would be better with a different color scheme#1 uses an image to cover too much of the screen - the right image could make or break the siteNo matter which people go for nothing can be worse than http://www.duke.edu.[Edited on November 29, 2006 at 10:59 AM. Reason : you have to love the "I'm lost" dude in #3 in the upper left]

These were some of my favorites:Oh SNAP!Nice drawing there. We didn't go to school for 7 years to NOT solve your equation.Um...Their photo gallery could also be dubbed as... Proudly displaying more images of minorities than any other college website./no racist[Edited on November 29, 2006 at 12:13 PM. Reason : -]

i'm gonna play with #2 in photoshop to see if i can make it more appealing to me

yeah so i made #2 much more palatable to me: http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h173/bigman157/NCSU_hp.jpgi still prefer #1 though [Edited on November 29, 2006 at 1:50 PM. Reason : some of the colors are off but i rapidly stopped caring near the end there][Edited on November 29, 2006 at 1:57 PM. Reason : 1) do they not use the block S anymore? 2) Why not have all 3 be chooseable as homepages?]
